Our trip to the airport didn't take long, and we quickly boarded the plane.

We disembarked and immediately got a taxi. The flight took a few hours, and I still don't know where I am. I know we're probably in the United States since I heard many people speaking English when we were leaving the airport. I just don't know where...

We took a taxi and went straight to our hotel. Through some places we passed by, you could see beaches, and somehow, it even cheered me up a little.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, I saw him checking in for only one room. I watched but didn't say anything, and then we went up... as soon as we entered, I put my suitcase in a corner.

Aurora: Thank you for the room, but where will you sleep?

I wasn't going to let this go without asking this question because he wasn't going to sleep with me, not even a chance.

Bernardo: Here, of course, where else would it be?

He put his suitcase next to mine, stood there, and faced me.

Aurora: So, you mean I'm going to have to ask for my own room?

I walk towards my suitcase intending to go down and book another room.

Bernardo: You're staying here.

He pulled my arm, making me get closer to him.

Aurora: Let me go right now.

I tried to get my arm out of his hand, but my effort was in vain since he was stronger than me.

Bernardo: I won't let you go!

Aurora: I'm going to scream...

When I was about to scream, he let go of me. I was extremely angry. How dare he do that? How ridiculous! In reality, I was dying to punch him in the face until all my anger was gone. I saw him backing away a little, trying to stay calm, but apparently, he wasn't irritated.

Aurora: Let me make things very clear to you... we only got married because of a contract, so we're not really husband and wife. I'm not yours like you think I am, so could you please leave this room now?

Bernardo: Okay, Aurora, I'm leaving, but even if it's by contract, you're my wife, and there's no going back...

He left the room, and I locked the door and went to bed to lie down. How does he mean, "There's no going back?" Of course, there was, wasn't there? With that in my thoughts, I start crying until I end up falling asleep since I was also very tired from the trip... after a few hours, I was awakened by someone knocking on the door.

Aurora: Who is it?

I sat down, waiting for an answer from whoever it was.

Bernardo: Shall we have dinner, Aurora?

Bernardo's voice echoed through the door as if he were here in the room, waking me up.

Aurora: I don't want to leave here! I'm not hungry.

Bernardo: If you don't go, you're going to starve, and you'll end up passing out, and you're not going alone; you don't know where you are, you won't know how to get around.

I took a deep breath. He doesn't know me, he doesn't know anything about me, but he likes to be in control of everything.

Aurora: I already said I'm not going, leave me alone...

Then I heard him walking away from the door... Since I'm going to have to put up with all of this, I'll do it my way. He brought me here and didn't even tell me where I am, but if he doesn't want to tell me, I'll find out.

I got up and went to the bathroom, took a nice hot shower, and after the shower, I went to get dressed.

It's not really my style, but it's what I have to wear here, and besides, I kind of like the way I look.

Then, after Aurora got ready, she went down to the hotel lobby to order a taxi to explore the city she was in. What Bernardo didn't know was that even though Aurora hadn't gone there, she was fluent in English and would be fine on her own. As soon as she got downstairs, she asked the employee to order a taxi for her because her phone wasn't making calls where they were.

Bernardo: What are you doing dressed like that, going out with someone?

Aurora: By myself. You don't boss me around, and I do what I want... Just one question, sir, where are we? (in English)

Employee: Miami... your taxi is here (in English)

Aurora: Thank you (in English)

Bernardo: I didn't know you spoke English so well.

Aurora: You don't know me...

Aurora left Bernardo there talking to himself and got into the taxi, and soon after, Bernardo got into another taxi, following Aurora.

_Meanwhile, about Bernardo_

Bernardo was a very intelligent man, he came from a good family that always sought to have good economic businesses... An only child, Bernardo had his parents present on important occasions such as birthdays or holiday parties, but he always saw his parents very busy working and traveling.

Bernardo was 29 years old, a calm, somewhat lonely man who grew up like any other child in good financial condition, the sole heir to everything his parents had... His father wanted him to marry a girl from a good family, a marriage based on love..., but Bernardo didn't want to get married, he had no intention or at least none had caught his eye.

I woke up this morning to my dad calling me.

Rodrigo: Hello Bernardo, could you come over to the house? I need to talk to you.

Bernardo: I'll be right there, Dad.

Without delay, I get up and get ready to go as early as possible... Upon arriving at the company, I went straight to my father's office.

Bernardo: Hi, Dad... Good Morning.

I said as I entered and sat down on the sofa in his office near his desk.

Rodrigo: Son, you're 29 years old, and you need to get married... You're going to inherit the company soon, you need a family so you don't get as lonely as you already are.

Bernardo: Dad, but I don't want to get married, I already told you, for God's sake!

He and this talk about me needing to get married, I hate this subject.

Rodrigo: Look, I heard Eduardo has an older daughter, why don't you try to look for her? It would be good to have a connection with that company.

Bernardo: She must be another spoiled brat, I don't want to marry a girl like that.

Rodrigo: Well, I already talked to him, and he's excited about the proposal.

Bernardo: And when am I going to meet her?

After talking to my father, I went to investigate this girl, I needed to at least know who my father wanted me to marry. I had been engaged once and my parents were super excited, but I found out horrible things about my ex, which made me end everything with her, and I had no plans to fall in love again, I would only marry at my parents' wish if that was the case.

So, I went after her and found out who Eduardo's daughter was, and I found out that she was the girl I was watching for a while when I took a course at the same college as her, and knowing that, my heart starts to beat fast and I soon see that maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea.

A few days later, I received a message from Eduardo asking me to accompany him so I could see his daughter and so I got ready to go meet him.

Bernardo: Hello Eduardo, long time no see?

I didn't take long to arrive and went to his company, where he was already waiting for me in his office.

Eduardo: Hello Bernardo, you disappeared, have a seat.

Bernardo: If possible I would like to meet your daughter, because I have a business trip today still.

Answer without even entering his office I really needed to see her, I spent days looking at her pictures and remembering every detail about her, this girl stirred me even though I never talked to her.
