I was walking and many things crossed my mind, one of them being that unfortunately I wouldn't be able to escape, and because of that I didn't have the courage to look at anyone so as not to increase my anger, but I could feel that man's gaze on me the whole time.

When I finally reached Bernardo, Eduardo left and I turned to face the Judge.

I stood there listening to everything the Judge was saying, not caring about the people around me.

Judge: Is it your consent, Bernardo, to accept Aurora Marinho Fonseca as your wife?

Bernardo: Yes.

Judge: Is it your consent, Aurora, to accept Bernardo Vicenzo as your husband?

At that moment, my whole body froze, it felt like there was no air in my lungs and my heart was racing. My nightmare was about to truly begin, and it was too late to do anything other than accept it at that moment.
