Cruelty would be delicious if one could only find some sort of cruelty that didn’t really hurt. Those who pray for someone's downfall are concentrating negative thoughts, without taking cognisance of the slippery ground in which they are standing, which could lead to their downfall. One is malicious because they are miserable. Assuming themselves to be faultless, they make it their mission to detect the myriad faults in others, against which they wage incessant tongue
Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody. Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back. Time takes it all whether you want it to or not, time takes it all. Time bares it away, and in the end there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and sometimes we lose them there again. You need to spend time crawling alone through shadows to truly appreciate what it is to stand in the sun.
