The Lantern Festival ship was, truthfully, just the upper-class and aristocracy’s venue for matchmaking. The young ladies and men would largely display their own talents in front of these gentlemen and women and if they were truly extremely talented, they would have many a noble admirer.

After the evening has passed, by the next morn, their name would then be widely spread throughout the capital. Therefore, this day was also a competition to affirm one’s status as these well-bred young ladies and men from prestigious houses would secretly compete against each other in hopes that they themselves would be able to gain good future prospects and a good future lover.

Jeon Sui had the title of the top lady in the capital and this was precisely due to the limelight she had gained annually at the Lantern Festival.

The young boy's entire body was enveloped in a bright crimson overcoat patterned with cranes, in sharp contrast to his fair skin, as pale as jade. This caused people to entertain wild and fanciful thoughts about the gentle and graceful boy wrapped up in the crane overcoat.

He had the appearance and air of one who was a born aristocrat. He seemed not to realise his attractiveness, which in itself was seductive. He walked towards the crowd step by step and those watching him could not help but hold their breath, for they could not determine whether this young boy was a dream, or real.

He was so beautiful that it was terrifying.

For many people, this would be their first time seeing the second young master Jeon. It has always been said that Jeons mansion's Jeon Sui was renowned for both her talent as well as her beautiful, fairy-like appearance. Therefore, they were all brimming with curiosity about this young boy who grew up in the countryside. Who would have thought that he had such a magnificent and graceful bearing?

It was bad enough that seeing Eighth Prince had stirred up a complex net of thoughts and emotions which were difficult to describe; discovering the identity of the black-clad youth had left him reeling in shock....The current Haneul-ui meoli, Kim Taehyung, had an extraordinary existence in the Great Kwang Dynasty.

At such a tender age, he was already in charge of 3,00,000 Haneul guards. The Emperor and the Empress were highly indulgent towards him, even allowing him to dispense of formality when with them. Initially, the Emperor had intended to make a change by designating Eighth Prince as the Crown Prince, but Kim Taehyung had categorically opposed this in front of the entire imperial court. Added to all this was the fact that the previous Haneul-ui meoli had led a rebellion against the Emperor. Hence, Kim Taehyung had earned himself the reputation of a rebellious scoundrel. It was a ritual to be followed in the boat that once the boar reached the centre of the lake, the celebration had to begin. The celebration mostly comprised of competitions among the youth and show casing of their talents. And the one who wins gets the rabbit lantern. It's a Lantern 🏮that's made by the holy preachers and monks in the Temple near the mountains. They say it's very auspicious and brings good fortune for sure. It's highly admired as it can't be bought. It's in the shape of a rabbit, so it's called the Rabbit lantern. Soon the announcement beagle could be heard marking the beginning of the competition. As Jungkook shifted his gaze, it unintentionally got locked with a certain distant person. It was taehyung. None of them looked other way. One had eyes filled with mystery mixed with anger. Other had only questions and coldness. Soon Jungkook looked the other way as he stares at Jeon Sui, who is in limelight now. At first one of the young masters went ahead voluntarily and started expressing his talent of art. He took his painting ink and brush out and flaunted his strokes as he started painting a beaitiful scenery infront of all. Followed him another young lady who showed her talent in crafting as she portrayed some of her made decors and also made a beautiful pottery infront of all. Following her was female ore young master who showed his talent in embroidery as he flaunted some of his unique embroidery skills. Just then someone out of the crowd loudly called out for Jeon Sui, inviting her openly. Soon, jeon Sui's friends started encouraging her to go forward and put a show. With her sort of modest attitude, it immediately aroused a stretch of praise from everyone. Subsequently, a maidservant delivered an exquisite and precious Gayageum to her. Jeon Sui then sat in front of the Gayageum, closed her eyes and began to play.

Zheng!” With that one sound, the sounds of the Gayageum pierced through the skies as if similar to an unsheathed sharp sword. Jeon Sui's eyes fluttered open and her slender and beautiful fingers flew across the strings. Like a spotlessly snowy-white butterfly, the sweet sounds from her Gayageum trickled into everyone’s ears. What she was playing was a piece called ‘Serene Orchid’.... Soon Jeon Sui ended her performance . Everyone echoed in agreement and for a moment, the Boat too had been aflutter with compliments and applause. Sui's charming face had reddened and once more, she had returned to her seat. People started talking around as they admired and praised Jeon Sui. Naturally she was beautiful and also had a good talent. So it was normal for her as the people ladended her with compliments. Some even pondered that the person to go next would be the one in disadvantage because the way Jeon Sui had performed, nothing could outsmart it. Taking the opportunity, Jeon Sui immediately called out for Jungkook loudly. She started praising Jungkook to sent him forward for the dance. She purposely highlighted the talent of Jungkook in dancing and asked him to dance.

He lowered his gaze towards his sleeves that reached till his wrists. They were perfectly fit to his hands. They sticked to his skin beautiful. He slowly raised his point finger of right hand to his left arm and traced it around some knots on it slowly and elegantly. The knots opened so swiftly leading to the ribbons hanging and sleeves loosening as if they were water in a stream. Under the reflective contrast between the beautiful landscape and himself, the first note that overflowed from those red lips was clear and melodious. The jaws on the both parts of the ship were slowly getting open in awe as he raised his head eyes closed. At first, his figure didn't move. He stood their looking down and slowly singing the song that he was going to perform on. There was pin drop on the boat as beautiful melodies and angelic voice came out those red lips. Even the river stopped his waves to make noise as the river was drowning in Jungkook's beauty. After those few moments, Jungkook then unhurriedly began to move. As those red clothes moved in the spry and lively dancing, it was like an alluring phantom that had fallen to the mortal realm, extremely evil yet, extremely beautiful. ..

He was performing so beautifully that his clothes flew swiftly so that some of the audience could not see his movements clearly and could only feel that that robe of red clothes seemed like blood; under the moonlight, it seemed astonishingly beautiful.

When Jungkook got stabled he turned back to see who had this strong grip on his arms and found his eyes locked with dark brown amber eyes with some hairs on them . The eyebrows of that person was furrowed . Jungkook didn't miss the moles beside his eye and on his nose. It was Kim. Haneul-ui meoli. He had advanced out of nowhere and held jungkook by his arm and pulled it.

On hearing him, in rapid succession, the people turned to look at the river. There was a figure bobbing up and down in the midst of the undulating waves, and it was indeed Jeon Sui. She was totally soaked, and water kept filling her nose and mouth. Throwing decorum to the winds, she yelled. . . There was no shortage of young noblemen on board the Boat who could swim. Upon witnessing a beautiful damsel in distress, they were all eager to take action. But, if they really did rescue Jeon Sui from her watery predicament, then the next day their name would be in air of the capital that too not in a good way of course. . . because people love spicy news, and obviously they will not take into remark that the noble bravely helped her, but they will love it gossip why only that particular noble helped Sui , there must something between them.
