Daddy! Daddy look! I caught a fish!

Exclaims a little, 5 year old Yachiro, holding a tiny fish in his hand as it desperately wriggled itself out of his grasp.

Koutarou

Why did you catch it?

Bokuto chuckles, patting his son's hair.

Yachiro

Because I told you that I could catch a fish without a fishing rod!

Yachiro

I'm strong like Daddy!

He giggles and Bokuto couldn't help but feel his heart burst as how cute his son was.

Koutarou

Yes, you are awesome, baby.

Koutarou

But you gotta put him back.

The little boy tilts his head.

Yachiro

Why?

Koutarou

Because his parents are probably looking for him and missing him right now!

The little boy's eyes widen, tossing the fish back in the water.

Yachiro

Sorry little fishy!

Yachiro

I hope you get to see your parents again!

The boy says, looking over the edge of the boat.

He pouts, looking up at his dad.

Yachiro

Did I do a bad thing, Daddy?

Bokuto crouches down to his level, ruffling his hair.

Koutarou

Not at all.

Koutarou

I'm sure the little fishy forgives you, but right now, Aka-chan looks like he's going to throw a slipper at us.

The two glanced at Keiji who was watching them from the beach shore, arms crossed and foot tapping impatiently on the sand.

The father and son shared a look before laughing and Koutarou immediately drives the boat back to shore.

Koutarou

Hey baby...

Koutarou sheepishly smiles.

Akaashi wasn't having it.

Keiji

Go clean up and wash your hands for lunch.

He plainly says. Bokuto frowns, hair drooping along with his expression.

He walks towards the beach house while sulking.

Yachiro looked up at Akaashi before making grabby hands.

Of course, who could say no to their precious baby?

Keiji smiles, picking up the little boy in his arms.

Keiji

Upsy-daisies...!

He gave a peck of kisses on Yachiro's cheek, causing the boy to giggle softly.

Keiji

What did you with Daddy do on the boat, hmm?

Yachiro

We were catching fish, and I caught one with my hand!

Yachiro

But I returned him because I didn't want his parents to be sad...

The little boy says, pointing at the beach.

Keiji chuckled.

Keiji

You did the right thing, honey.

Another kiss on the cheek made the little boy giggle at the ticklish sensation.

Keiji

Alright. Let's go back and have lunch with Kanade-chan and Kou-chan.

The boy's eyes sparkle at the mention of food.

Yachiro

Yay! Food! Let's go!

He eagerly says, smile widening as they walk by the shore towards their beach house.

They were about to take a step on the stairs but Koutarou suddenly bursts out of the house.

Koutarou

Keiji! Keiji!

Keiji

What's going on?

Koutarou

Alright, Keiji, don’t be alarmed, but...

Koutarou

I am borrowing Koushi-chan’s child... and Tooru-chan's child...

Koutarou

...without permission.

Koutarou beamed as he had Kanade hoisted on his shoulders and Kou in front of him and holding his hands securely.

Keiji sighed the deepest, heaviest sigh he had possibly ever sighed before.

Keiji

Koutarou-san.

Keiji’s voice came out almost robotic.

Keiji could see Kou begin to smirk, but on the other hand, Kanade's excited expression fell into something more akin to fear.

Keiji felt bad for the poor boy, but Koutarou could not go by without getting scolded.

Keiji

How many times have I told you that you cannot borrow someone else's children without their permission?

Keiji

That is simply kidnapping.

Keiji

Daichi-san is a police officer.

Keiji

He said he would genuinely consider arresting you the last time you did this with Kanade-chan.

As Keiji went on, Koutarou began to deflate and Kanade had tears in her eyes.

The only thing keeping Keiji from falling apart and giving in yet again was that Kou had managed to escape from Koutarou’s dejected grasp and join Keiji’s side.

Keiji

Just where are your parents, Kou-chan?

Kou

They said they are just going to buy ice pops.

Keiji

Ice pops?

Kou

Yes, Iwa-Dad said they're going to buy ice pops for everyone.

Keiji

Then where are your Daddies, Kanade-chan?

Kanade

They are asleep, upstairs...

'Asleep my foot.' Keiji thought.

Keiji

Alright, time to bring them back, Koutarou-san.

Koutarou

But... But... But Keijiiiii...

Koutarou pouted, drawing out Keiji’s name as usual.

Koutarou didn’t bother to follow up, instead he continued to sputter and squish Kanade's face against his while they both pulled puppy-dog eyes.

Keiji refused to budge on his stance, so Koutarou scrambled to come up with something else.

In the end, he ended up turning towards Kanade.

Koutarou

Kanade-chan, help me out here!

Kanade hesitated after making eye contact with Keiji as he was still scowling himself, but then she screwed her eyes shut and held out her arms to the other male.

Kanade

Keiji-chan! Missed you!

Kou

Don’t fall for it, Keiji-san! You’re stronger than this!

Kou tugged on Keiji’s shirt, his expression turning grim as he could tell Keiji’s resolve was breaking very quickly.

Koutarou

Kanade-chan, go for the kill!

Koutarou encouraged the little girl as he placed her on the ground, scooping Kou into his arms, taking the boy by surprise.

While Kou struggled to get out of Koutarou’s grasp, Kanade ran over to Keiji and hugged his legs tightly.

Keiji resisted the urge to look down, he had to be strong, Kou was counting on him to be the voice of reason.

Kanade

Keiji-chan!

Kanade tugged on Keiji’s shirt relentlessly until the older male looked down at him.

Kanade motioned for Keiji to pick him up, eyes sparkling with unshed tears, but also excitement and warmth.

Keiji obliged, hoisting the girl up with ease.

Kanade

I love you~

Kanade whispered into Keiji’s ear before hugging him tightly, nuzzling his cheek against Keiji’s.

Kou

Keiji-san?

Kou, having given up on the struggle and allowed Koutarou to hold him, called out to Keiji; albeit, hopelessly.

Kou grimaced more than an elementary schooler should before letting out a heavy sigh.

Keiji

Could they still arrest us if we skip country?

Keiji inquired lowly, his entire personality shaking as he cuddles with Kanade, almost hypnotized.

Koutarou

They’ll never catch us!

Koutarou tossed Kou into the air before spinning him around, startling the boy back into being fussy.

Meanwhile, they forgot about their own son.

Who was by the way, on the table, eating.

Completely ignoring the fuss his parents were making.

Later that day, Koushi calls (a lot) and Keiji ignores it.

Well, they can return Kanade in the evening...

...or not.
