Shoyo exclaimed as he saw the small bulge on Miwa's stomach.
Shoyo
How many weeks is it already?
Miwa
Months, darling. 2 months.
Miwa
I can still run though.
Shoyo
What? No! Why would you run?
Miwa
Come on, try. Tag me.
Shoyo
Wha--Miwa-nee-san! No. That will be dangerous for the baby!
Tobio saw the sight of his sister roping Shoyo on her arms, causing him to stand up and claim his fiance back.
Tobio
Sis, stop it. I can't have my fiance getting all sweaty for you.
Miwa
Oh shush. He's my brother now.
Miwa
Come on Sho. We don't need Tobio anymore.
Miwa
He's such a pain in the a*s.
Miwa
You fit better in our family.
Miwa shoved his brother away and pulled Shoyo back.
Miwa
It's because you're not cute.
Their bickering was interrupted as food was finally called.
The entire Kageyama clan ran to grab as much food as they could.
Shoyo was used to feeding time with the Kageyamas, but the rest of his family was completely new to it.
They all sat back and stared.
He was fairly sure he could see his mother's eye twitch.
Shoyo managed to slip his way in, grabbing all the food he wanted, pulling out early, with his plate heaping.
Tobio
So what do you want? A boy or a girl?
Kageyama asked his sister, even as he sent a leering smirk at his brother-in-law in an attempt to bluff his way in to getting him to fold.
Miwa
A healthy baby. I mean come on, I’m old!
Miwa
I’m 32 and pregnant and a working Mom.
She grumbled, sorting through her hand.
Mom (Kageyama)
You’re not old, darling.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Miwa
But I want another girl.
Shoyo
She’s due in the summer?
Shoyo counted in his fingers, whispering to Tobio, but was heard by the entire table.
Miwa
Ugh, yeah, late June.
Miwa
I’ll be hot and miserable.
Grandmother (Kageyama)
Your mother did that with you too, baby girl.
The old lady said, patting her stomach.
Miwa
If my kids annoy me too much, I’m sending them to you, Tobio.
She grumbled. Tobio laughed at that, shaking his head.
Tobio
Go ahead! I’ll be sure to spoil them before returning them into your loving arms.
He teased, wincing when Shoyo elbowed him.
Shoyo
Absolutely not. We don’t need any of the kids turning out like you.
Shoyo deadpanned, causing the table to burst in to laughter.
Miwa
I’m glad one of my brothers love me. This is why you’re my favorite, Sho.
Miwa said, reaching over to pat his hand.
Dad (Kageyama)
Anyway, when do you plan to do the wedding?
Tobio's father muttered, Shoyo self-consciously looking down at his plate of food.
Tobio
We're thinking of next year. Maybe by March or April.
Everyone nodded... in agreement?
Grandmother (Kageyama)
Why not make it in January?
Grandmother (Kageyama)
January is the luckiest month for weddings next year.
Shoyo
But we have to play in Olympics that month.
Grandmother (Kageyama)
Ah, right. Youth and their career.
Tobio's Dad put the burger he was eating down, taking a sip from his cup.
Dad (Kageyama)
Do you two really prioritize your career over your own wedding?
Miwa
Dad, it's no big deal.
Miwa
Let them get married when they want.
Tobio
Don't worry about them.
Tobio whispered, leaning in, holding Shoyo's hand under the table.
Mom (Hinata)
Well, I have a question about the surname.
Everyone looked at Shoyo's Mom.
Mom (Kageyama)
What question is there left?
Mom (Kageyama)
Surely, Shoyo will take our surname.
Mom (Hinata)
No, I was thinking that it will be Tobio-kun to take our surname.
Deafening silence filled the table.
Shoyo
I thought they were getting along earlier?
Shoyo whispered to Tobio.
