Chapter 14

We're vampires... and you're our blood bag, our sacrificial bride, got it?

"Vampires? Sacrificial bride? Blood bag?.... What's going on??!!!" Thought Brittany. Her heart started pumping, her adrenaline levels were off the charts. She was scared. Scared and confused. She couldn't understand what was going on. One thing was for sure, she had to do something. She couldn't just stay here with these weird people. No, not people - monsters. She had to run away, far away. Maybe she could return to the church, or at least back to the village to John, surely he would help her. She carefully backed up until she bumped into a wall. Brittany turned around and realized that it wasn't a wall, it was a door that led to a balcony. "Bingo!" She thought. She looked back at the young girl with piercing red eyes. :I'll only have one shot at this, so I have to do it now!" Thought Brittany. In a fast pace she opened the balcony door, rushed outside.

- You can't leave! Come back this instance! (Yelled the girl with red eyes (Lilith))

"She's trying to jump on me!!!! I need to get out of here!" Thought Brittany

- Leave me alone!!! Get out of here! Don't touch me! (Screamed Brittany)

- I'm so hungry ... It's been so long... I can't stand it anymore! (Lilith)

- NO! LET ME GO! (Screamed Brittany as she started panicking) "She's cornered me near the balcony railing! And she's hurting me! She's squeezing my arms so tightly!" Thought Brittany.

- Let me go! Let me go right now! (Continued yelling Brittany, as she kicked the girl in the knee)

- Ouch! (Yelled Lilith)

"Ah, it looks like I've hurt her! I have to try to kick her in the knees again! She needs to let me go!" (Thought Brittany)

- Ouch, that's enough! (Yelled Lilith as her eyes flooded with anger. She pushed Brittany as hard as she could)

- GASP ( "She pushed me away so hard! I need to get my strength back so I can...)

                         CRASH

- AH!! (Screamed Brittany, she grabbed the glass door hoping it would help her, but it broke off the hinges)

- Oh my god, no! (Lilith)

Brittany felt herself being thrown backwards. It hurt really bad, and there was broken glass from the door flying around her... Then she started falling through the air at a dizzy speed. She could feel the cuts on her face and arms from the broken glass. And as she fell, ribbons of her own blood swirled around her and blurred her vision. Brittany suddenly remembered the young girls face... She ran to the railing, and yet, seeing her fall, Brittany had time to notice her expression of pure panic. She seemed to have tried to grab Brittany's hand so she wouldn't fall. But it was already too late. Brittany must have fallen in a garden, which dampened her fall. After so much violence this was such a strange feeling of peace, especially while Brittany was in so much pain. Everything was moving in a slow motion now... It was a beautiful... Brittany could see the stars, the moon, the leaves rustling in the wind... Brittany never thought the night could be so full of life.

"Is this the worst it's going to get? I can't stand the pain much longer!" Thought Brittany. "Am I going to die? I wonder if I'll meet my little brother in heaven?...  I don't want... I... I don't want to die..."

Brittany felt the impact with every bone in her body. When she hit the ground, she suddenly noticed a strong perfume in the air. At that precise moment, she felt a thousand splinters enter her skin, which was already in pretty rough shape. Brittany couldn't open her eyes... but she could hear the sound of footsteps... and then a voice?
