Chapter 8

The sunrise meant so many things as it drifted in, igniting the colours of Lilith's room. After a long cold night the daybreak brought glimmers of warmth. The golden light softly caressed the land and ignited the birds into a chorus of melodies. Golden light dribbled over the land like syrup on oatmeal. The leaves shimmered like a mirror flecked mosaic and the morning dew sparkled on the bejeweled cobwebs and grass. "Sunrise already?" (Thought Lilith, who was still sitting near the door. She was tired, being awake for the past 24 hours. She started to fall asleep. Falling asleep was as easy as letting the dreams begin. Before she could realize it, she was already fast asleep.

Soon Reiji teleported into her room.

He carefully walked closer and looked at her. Her features were much softer in sleep. She looked peaceful. Wanting nothing more than to curl up into the curve of her body, Reigi turned around and pulled a blanket from her bed a put it over her.

- Aren't you being a little too harsh with her (said Ayato, who teleported in so quickly and quietly that even Reiji didn't notice)

- It's either this, or her running away again. She has to understand that it's dangerous out there. Too dangerous. You know that we can't risk loosing her. (Said Reiji)

- I guess, but still.... (Ayato sighed and leaned against the wall). Now what?, we can't keep her in here forever.

- We're not going to. I think she learned her lesson. (Said Reiji)

- So you're letting her out?

- I think so. You're right, we can't keep her here forever. Instead we'll watch her. That way she won't have a chance to leave again-

- I can finally play with Lily-chan!!!!! Yay, did you hear that Teddy, we're going to eat so many treats together! (Yelled Kanato as he appeared out of nowhere startling everyone and waking up Lilith)

Reiji and Ayato gave a stern look towards Kanato.

- Huh, what?.... What's going on?... (Said Lilith still half asleep)

- Nothing dear (said Reiji. He carefully picked her up and put her to bed. Then covered her with a blanket)

Outside a lot of clouds started to form, making the room darker

- But when can I and Teddy play with her? (Said Kanato in a whining voice)

- Can you keep you're voice down Kanato? Why are you so loud? (Said Ayato)

- But I want to play with Lily-Chan!!!!!

- Kanato-  (Said Ayato)

- I want it NOW!!!!!!!  (Yelled Kanato, his eyes filled with rage)

- Kanato, it's already morning you should go rest, isn't Teddy tired? (Said Reiji calmly)

Kanato looked at Teddy, who he was holding in his arms

- I guess you're right, Teddy does look tired (said Kanato)

With that Kanato teleported out of the room.

- How did you do that, calming Kanato and all? (Asked Ayato)

- It's what expected of me, as the second oldest son of the Sakamaki family. (Replied Reiji)

Rain started pouring heavily outside. Everything was grey.

Laito teleported into Lilith's room

- Aww, little Lily looks so cute in her sleep~ (said Laito)

- Shut up, you pervert (Snapped back Ayato)

- Sigh, quiet down you two.

- Ugh, whatever (said Ayato, turning his head away)

- Oh, by the way Shu wanted me to tell you something (Said Laito)

- Shu? What is it? (Said Reiji)

- Yeah, spill it you- (said Ayato, almost cursing, but immediately remembering that Reiji was there)

- He said that our new sacrificial bride will be here any second. (Said Laito)

As soon as his words left his mouth there was a knock at the door.

- Here she is now, you guys ready to have some fun~ (said Laito as he smirked)
