Chapter-18

Jungkook sipped the coffee from his cup. Namjoon offered him and Jin coffee. From coffee machine. It's a little bitter but Jungkook's still liking the burnt taste. Seokjin and Namjoon have been talking for almost an hour. Turns out he is older than Jungkook but younger than Seokjin. He's a friendly guy and is going really well with Jin. Their humours probably match a lot. Because he's laughing at Jin's jokes like those are the funniest things he has ever heard.

At that moment, two people started quarrelling at a cornner. Namjoon kept his cup down and went towards them.

"What are you two quarrelling about again?" He asked calmly.

Both of them looked at Namjoon and smiled guiltly as if they are kids who got caught while doing something mischievous.

He solved the matter and came back and sat beside Jungkook.

"They really love you." Jungkook said.

"Yes, Due to inserting electrodes some damage happens in brains. They become like children."

Namjoon sighed.

Suddenly one of the walls of the hall started opening like a gate with a loud bang. The Socrates' started panicking and cornered at a wall holding onto each other. Three People entered the room. Two of them were guards, judging by their uniforms. A woman with short hair holding a bag with some instruments in it.

"What's up douchebag? How are the Socrates' doing?" the woman smirked.

Namjoon didn't answer.

"See? How they gathered like insects upon seeing us?" She scoffed.

Namjoon again didn't answer. He just looked away frowning.

"I can't believe these are the same people who talk so bluntly after stimulation."

"Will you take anyone?" Namjoon asked.

"Yes."

"Who?"

The woman checked her Crystal Reader. "Crana."

A girl amongst the gathered Socrates' screamed and started crying loudly. The woman and the guards looked at her amusedly. They looked at each other and slowly laughed.

"What's so funny?" Jin spoke.

"Who are you?" One of the guards looked at Jin. They looked surprised.

The guard turned back and noticed Jin and Jungkook, "Who are you two?"

"You are the ones who captured us. You say who we are." Jungkook got up.

The guards gritted his teeth. Just as he was about to say something, the woman spoke, "His name is Jungkook. Jungkook is our new player."

"Player?" Everyone's eyes widened.

"Iam his cook. My job is too cook. Iam Seokjin."

Jin said in a sarcastic tone and the woman gave him an irritated look and ignored him.

"Congratulations. Our office will certainly give you the best training and promotion." the woman looked at Jungkook." Everyone nodded with her.

"You still didn't answer my question?" Jin stood in front of Jungkook.

"What?" The woman furrowed her eyebrows.

"What's so funny? The girl got scared by you and started crying. What exactly is funny here?"

The woman looked insulted. She waved her hand and gestured to throw the matter away. "You won't understand. Stay here for a few days and you will get it."

"I don't think so." This time Jungkook spoke.

"Whatever...... Anyways, who's Crana?"

The girl sobbed loudly.

"You? Are you Crana?"

She nodded lightly while still sobbing.

"Come with us."

The girl shaked her head as no.

"You need to come with us."

She again shaked her head, "No."

The guards held her from both sides and pick her up. Crana keeps crying and screaming throwing her hands and legs.

"You" The woman pointed at Namjoon. "Come with us."

Namjoon just nodded.

"Where are you taking her?" Jungkook asked.

"We are taking her to load a system. It's an order from Kior. He wants to buy a war specialist."

"This kid is a war specialist?" Jungkook was surprised. The girl looked barely 13.

"Well not now. But after we load the system. No one will know unless we give stimulation."The woman grinned.

"How do you give stimulation?" Jin asked.

"We need to send high frequency pulse through the electrode behind their heads."

Jin and Jungkook stare with disbelief. How can a human use another human like this?

"Do you want to see how we do that?" The woman asked.

"Yes, I want to." Jungkook wanted to say no. He didn't want to see something so disgusting. But he ended up saying yes.

"Sure then player. Come with us." The woman smiled.

"No not you, only Jungkook." She said as Jin was following them too.

"Why not?" Namjoon spoke.

"Iam allowing Jungkook because he's a player. That guy doesn't have the permission to enter the lab."

"Heh." Jin stuck out his tongue at the which the woman tched.

"Hyung...Go back to the apartment. Check on Taehyung and Hoseok hyung, I will be back." Jungkook held Jin's hands.

Jin opened his mouth to say something. But he just nodded and left.

Jungkook followed the woman in disbelief as the guards kept dragging the girl in an inhuman way. Why did he say he wants to see this?
