The duo, Sinclair and Serene, came out of the civil affairs bureau after registering their marriage.

Serene wheeled Sinclair out from the building with a smile on her face. She stopped when they got to the car, a black sleek Maybach, packed not too far from the building.

" Wife, We should go out this evening to celebrate our marriage" Sinclair said maneuvering his wheelchair to face her. He looked at Serene with a loving expression smiling faintly as he remembers the woman was his wife.

" Yes, we should" Serene said. If anyone saw that she was married it will look like a lie to them because she never supported marriage until now, she thought marriage was a cage, a cage that looks glittery and golden on the outside but sickening, maddening and gray on the inside.

He wasn't much of a talker or someone that explains his points ever since he was a kid. He could not fully believe that this lady...his wife... brought out a character in him that has been hidden and buried deep down in him.

" Thank you Uncle" Serene said not even hearing what she had said, she only noticed his expression waver a bit, but never sensed anything wrong.

It was obvious that Sinclair was way much older than his wife based on their looks. While Serene had a youthful and bright vigor Sinclair had a mature, gloomy look with a face that always says' Don't come close to me '.

Many people around him could not even stare at him due to his oppressive aura and Intimidating looks that was why the servants at the house felt a shiver when they saw him smile.

" Y...yes, are you joining me in the car?" Sinclair asked, his tone not too bright like a while ago.

" No, I have to sort out some things" Serene said

The duo talked for a while longer, Sinclair was still dwelling on the way Serene addressed him earlier making him distracted for a moment.

' She said uncle, am I that old?' He thought repeatedly.

He was still thinking about it even after entering his car and reaching the office.

" Zane, tell me, am I old?" Sinclair asked his assistant who was helping him with the files for the project they were working on.

" Pardon?, uh... Sir how can you say that?, you are not old" Zane said

What could possibly lead to boss thinking like this?. Is he getting a wife?. Zane thought.

He has been working for Sinclair for years and has never seen a woman close to the boss, even the ones that were seen close to him were no longer seen again. Maybe the boss has finally realized that he needs a woman and was now asking about his looks.

Zane finally came to a conclusion that it must be a woman.

" Arrange the meeting now I have to leave before five" Sinclair said

" O...okay " Zane said. He was about giving the boss tips on catching a woman's attention.

Serene still needs her job but this time she wasn't trying to save up to flee abroad anymore.

Her husband was just too good to her, and she liked it, so going abroad was not what she wanted to do now. A smile tugged her lips as she thought of Sinclair and the way he called her wife when they met together in his room. The man was just too shameless and could not hide his true feelings, he is so straightforward and that was what Serene admired the most about him.

Serene went to school and took a few days leave. Nicole was pleased she took the leave, at least she could build her relationship with the male teachers while Serene will just miss out on all the hot and handsome man.

" Serves you right" Nicole said

Serene left the school and went into a café to drink latte. She looked around drinking refreshing latte but the stares of the people around her was too sharp and complicated for her to focus.

" She is the one" Serene heard a lady say to another one beside her.

" Yes she is, how can she still wander around with her head high" The other lady said.

Maybe they thought Serene wouldn't hear that was why they felt free divulging their opinion about her like that.

' But why are these people talking like this?' Serene wondered

If someone walked into a café where they were being talked about their first act will be to ask, but Serene did not ask, she did not even bother about gossips.

Her phone rang in her bag. Serene took it out seeing a name on the screen that made her smile.

" Hailey...– "

" What is going on?" Hailey asked cutting Serene short, they did not even exchange pleasantries.

" What?" Serene asked

" Check the internet, news about you is on the top search" Hailey said
