Soon to be Mrs Serene Sinclair Moore

The curtains opened after the Man pressed the buttons and the room was soon filled with natural light from outside making Serene's eyes sting with pain since her eyes just adjusted to the darkness.

She unconsciously covered her eyes with her hands but dropped them after a while. She has still not recovered from the shock of hearing this man call her Wife!.

Serene had many questions to throw at him but she kept shut in order not to provoke any trouble before the marriage. She really needed the marriage to escape her family sooner, If she was treated well by her in-laws she will not think about fleeing abroad unless otherwise.

The Man dabbed his cigarette on the ashtray before throwing it on top.

" You must be thinking how I'm not crippled?"

Serene was taken aback, that was also part of the question she wanted to ask.

" Y...Yes" Serene stammered

This made the Man's face sour. He did not want the girl to be scared of him, he wanted her to be free like a bird.

" Are you scared of me?" he asked voicing his thoughts in the question.

Serene was not going to lie to him but did not want to talk either, she was slightly scared of him and his noble aura.

The Man turned to face her his expression a little grim. Serene has never seen anything more divine that what was before her eyes. This was the young master that was rumoured to be ugly, his chisel jawlines which seemed shaper than a razor, the strong looking hands which could kill her in a snap, the high bridged nose and chestnut colored eyes down to the endlessly long legs, this was now the definition of ugly?.

Maybe this is the assistant in place of the young master.

" Are you the young master's assistant?" Serene blurted out her thought

A look of surprise flashed through the Man's face but he composed and kept Mum.

Meanwhile Serene was in turmoil,

' Wasn't the young master supposed to be a cripple?'

' he is supposed to be ugly?!, what am I seeing now?'

Albeit the multiple questions in her mind, she shut up looking everywhere else except the figure before her.

The Man walked towards Serene until he was inches away from her.

' Oh my God!' Serene yelled in her mind.

He is so close and smelled of mint, cologne and tobacco, what a graceful smell. Serene took a small draw of the fragrance and her face turned slightly red.

Who the hell made that rumor about Young master being ugly?.

" And what if I am?" He asked smiling down at her.

Serene forced herself to look up and meet his gaze but she looked away immediately with a blush creeping up her cheeks threatening to go across her neck region.

This amused the Man, his recent grim expression faded like it was never even there.

"T....Then if y....you a...are not young master where is he?" Serene stammered

" If I were the assistant I would not dare talk like this to the Master's wife " he said

Serene immediately dispelled her thoughts of him being someone else but was still blushing from the fact that he was already calling her his wife.

" You are beautiful" He said. Shattering whatever self-control Serene had. She blushed uncontrollably looking down and playing with her fingers like a teenager that was spoken to by her crush.

" T....Thank you" She said her face all red.

" No need to thank me Wife" he said looking down at Serene. The scene felt intimidating, the aura of the Man overshadowed Serene making her look small and weak.

The questions that were at the tip of her tongue not long ago vanished without a trace. Although she wanted to ask how he was not crippled and ugly but the sight of him already dispelled the questions.

" Now that you are my wife I am going to protect you and cherish you" he said.

They were not yet married!

Serene was in another wave of shock- she just recovered from the shock of his handsomeness.

" But you don't know me"

" Now I know you, I'll try my best to be a good husband" he said with a straight face.

" We are not even married yet so why all this?" Serene asked feeling complicated.

Her plan was not even executed because this Man already made things easier for her. She was not even going to run abroad just like she had planned, now she has a man who already cherished her before marriage unlike her past relationship.

" Mrs Moore your husband's name is Sinclair" he said sitting on a wheelchair.

Wheelchair?, but he was standing fine not quite long ago.

" oh, Sinclair" Serene said her voice tiny and sweet as she said the name.

A dangerous look flashed Sinclair's eyes as he watched her lips move with his name on her mouth, he suppressed himself for the second time again in one day. Back then he was not even enticed by anyone and seeked to cure himself now he could not even control himself and was slowly running out of control.

The atmosphere in the living room was still as it was when Serene left, Marie Moore kept glancing towards the path Serene left hoping to see her in a devastated state.

' it was taking too long '

For a while now, No one said anything this made Mr. Woods think otherwise, his concern was not on Serene but on the collaboration, if his friend has not rejected the young master because of the rumors about him he would not have gotten the chance to trade his ungrateful daughter for a rewardable collaboration.

Soon heels were heard clicking not too far from them.

' She got rejected ' Marie Moore thought, a bright smile on her face but the scene that she saw after sometime melted her smile.

Serene was not only helping the Young master push his wheelchair but she also had a faint blush on her face.

' What happened between them?' Marie Moore asked herself

Meanwhile in Sinclair's mind he was already planning how to make Serene his lawful wife.

' The soon-to-be Mrs. Serene Sinclair Moore '

This brought a slight smile on his face which sent shivers down the stand by servants.
