Lena stepped aside, watching as the officers handled the situation, her heart still pounding from the intensity of what had just happened. She quickly turned her attention to the victim, kneeling beside him. He was dazed, his eyes flickering with confusion, but he was alive.

“You okay?” she asked gently.

He nodded, though he winced in pain. “I—I think so. Thanks for helping.”
Lena
Lena gave him a quick, reassuring smile. “Don’t thank me yet. I’ll make sure they don’t hurt anyone else.”
Later that afternoon, Lena found herself at the police station, sitting across from an officer who was taking down her statement. Her heart was still racing, the adrenaline slowly wearing off as she recounted what had happened.

“So you intervened when you saw the men attacking the victim?” Officer Gomez asked, her voice calm but curious.

Lena nodded, her hands folded neatly in her lap. “I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. I’m not going to let anyone be hurt if I can stop it.”

The officer nodded, her gaze thoughtful. “You acted bravely, Miss. Not many people would have done what you did. Most people would have been too scared.”
Lena
Lena met the officer’s gaze, her expression firm. “I’m not like most people.”
policeman
Officer Gomez smiled slightly. “I can see that. You did the right thing. These men won’t be able to hurt anyone else. We’ll make sure of it.”
