Lena
The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a soft, golden glow across Lena’s room. She groggily opened her eyes, her body still heavy with the remnants of last night’s restless thoughts. The images of the mafia boss—the way his eyes had locked onto hers—still lingered in her mind, but she pushed them away. "Not today."
Lena
With a quiet sigh, she stretched and pulled herself out of bed. Her routine was the same as always: get up, get dressed, and start her day.
Lena walked to the kitchen, her bare feet padding softly on the cool wooden floors. Her mother was already there, humming softly to herself as she prepared breakfast.
Lena's mother
“Morning, sweetheart,” her mother said with a smile, placing a plate of toast and eggs in front of her.
Lena
Lena smiled back, the warmth of home soothing her nerves. “Morning, Mom.”
Lena
Her feet carried her down the familiar street for her usual morning walk, the neighborhood bustling with the quiet hum of daily life. People waved as they passed, the smell of fresh coffee and blooming flowers mixing in the air. The rhythm of the city was steady, comforting, and Lena felt like she was finding her place again.
Lena
She couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief as she walked. The tension she had felt in the days after the kidnapping had slowly eased, and even though she still had moments of fear and doubt, they were fewer now.
Lena
"It’s over, Lena. Move on."
That was what she had to remind herself. There was no mafia boss waiting around the corner, no underlings lurking in the shadows. It was just another ordinary day in her ordinary life.

Mia
Let’s go have some fun!" Mia grinned, her excitement contagious. "I’ve been waiting for this for so long!"
Lena
Lena laughed, her nerves slowly dissolving. "Lead the way."
