The Silent Watchers – Someone Is Always Watching, but Why?
chapter 6
The Next Day – Aarya’s Café
Morning light streamed through the glass windows, casting golden hues over the wooden tables. The scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, but Aarya barely noticed.
She hadn’t slept.
Her mind kept replaying last night. The message. The shadow. Rehan.
Now, as she stood behind the counter, she forced herself to act normal. Customers came and went, their laughter and chatter a comforting background noise.
She was safe here. Right?
The bell above the door chimed.
Aarya froze.
He walked in, just like last night. Dark jacket. The same quiet intensity.
Araya(fl)
"Rehan."
*Her fingers curled around the coffee machine’s edge as he approached.*
Rehan(??)
(Calmly) Black coffee. No sugar.
Aarya swallowed, forcing herself to move. She prepared his coffee with practiced hands, pretending her nerves weren’t on fire.
Sliding the cup toward him, she finally met his gaze.
Araya(fl)
(Flatly) Do you always show up at places uninvited?
Rehan took the coffee but didn’t drink it immediately. His gaze flickered over her face, as if searching for something.
