Aarya’s Café – Late Evening
The soft hum of jazz music played in the background, blending with the rhythmic clatter of cups and plates. The air smelled of freshly ground coffee beans, warm vanilla, and a hint of rain from the open window. It was one of those quiet nights—just a handful of customers, their conversations fading into the background like white noise.

*Aarya wiped down the counter, glancing at the neon lights flickering outside. The city was always awake, always breathing, a living entity of metal, glass, and secrets.
Her phone vibrated against the wooden surface.
She frowned, wiping her damp hands on her apron before picking it up.*

Her fingers hovered over the screen.

📞"What the hell?"
Aarya glanced around the café. The usual customers. The old man who always ordered black tea with honey. A couple whispering to each other in the corner. A student buried in his laptop, drowning in caffeine and deadlines.
Nothing seemed out of place.
Her eyes shifted to the entrance just as the door swung open.
