The Silent Watchers – Someone Is Always Watching, but Why?
chapter 4
Aarya’s Apartment – Midnight]
The clock on the wall blinked 12:03 AM in glowing red numbers.
Aarya sat on her small couch, knees pulled to her chest, the glow of her phone screen casting eerie shadows across the dimly lit room.
The message still sat there.
unknown 1
"📞He’s not who you think he is."
She exhaled slowly, trying to push away the unease crawling up her spine.
Maybe it was a prank. Maybe someone was messing with her.
Or maybe…
Her fingers hovered over the screen before she finally typed back.
The reply came almost instantly.
unknown 1
📳Someone who doesn’t want to see you dead.
Her pulse quickened.
Dead?
Aarya swallowed, her throat suddenly dry.
Araya(fl)
📳What do you mean?
No response.
She waited. One second. Five. A minute.
Nothing.
Aarya cursed under her breath, tossing the phone onto the coffee table. The blue light flickered against the glass surface, illuminating the room in cold, artificial light.
