Bright lights bathed the stage as Eclipse and Stratos stood in position, camera crews bustling around them. The music video shoot had stretched on for hours, and fatigue weighed heavily on Taehyung’s shoulders. Despite his exhaustion, he forced a smile
The beat dropped, and both groups sprang to life — sharp movements, synchronized steps, and fiery energy filling the set.
Taehyung pushed through the routine, each movement feeling more mechanical than passionate.
His gaze flickered to Jungkook, who danced with effortless precision, sweat glistening on his forehead. Memories of their last bitter exchange resurfaced, making Taehyung’s steps falter slightly.

Taehyung staggered to the side, grabbing a bottle of water. He barely noticed Jungkook lingering nearby.
They hadn't talked much since their fallout — brief exchanges at practice, a quick greeting in passing — but nothing more.

Yeah… just tired. I’ll be fine.

Minutes later, Eclipse and Stratos gathered on a couch backstage, their phones perched on a stand for the live stream. The chat exploded the moment they went live.

Yeah, but he’s our resident drama king. Wouldn’t have him any other way.
Taehyung chuckled lightly, but the sound felt hollow. He didn’t miss the way Jungkook glanced his way — cautious, observing.

(serious) Don’t worry. He’s been working hard all day. I’ll make sure he rests.

“Jungkook looking out for Taehyung? I’m in tears 😭”
Taehyung blinked, startled. Jungkook’s voice wasn’t playful — it was serious, almost... concerned. Taehyung glanced at him, unsure how to respond.

Jungkook gave a small smile, but unlike before, there was no lingering touch — only a faint warmth in his gaze, a silent promise that he wouldn’t push too far.
As the conversation shifted, fans flooded the chat with requests for each member to show off a special talent. One by one, the members took turns — Namjoon freestyled a few impressive verses, and Yoongi beatboxed as Jimin and Hoseok created an impromptu dance battle that left everyone breathless with laughter.

His voice was steady yet delicate, emotion lacing every note. Halfway through, Jungkook joined in, harmonizing beside him. The warmth in his voice complemented Taehyung’s, filling the room with a quiet intimacy that made Taehyung’s heart stutter. For a moment, it was like no one else existed — just their voices blending in perfect balance.

As the song ended, the room erupted into cheers.

Jungkook shot Taehyung a playful look, but Taehyung only smiled faintly, still caught in the warmth of their moment. For the rest of the live stream, their interactions remained minimal — fleeting glances, a few words here and there — yet something felt different.
Less strained. Less cold. Like they were both cautiously stepping toward something familiar, but still fragile.
When the cameras finally stopped rolling, Jungkook turned back to him with a hesitant smile.

(softly) I won’t... Thanks.
It wasn’t much, but for now, it was enough.
