The soft beeping of machines filled the quiet hospital room, but there was peace in the air now. Jihyun, small and pale but finally smiling, sat on the bed watching as Jungkook folded his clothes into a bag. The doctor had cleared him for discharge. The storm was finally over — at least the one in the hospital room.
Jungkook walked out silently toward the front desk to collect the discharge papers. His eyes were blank, face unreadable, but his movements were careful, protective — for Jihyun, always for Jihyun.
At the same time, Taehyung stepped through the hospital entrance. The sharp click of his shoes echoed through the sterile hallway, his tall frame wrapped in a designer coat, his eyes dark with something deeper than just guilt.
He made his way quietly to Jihyun’s room. When he stepped in, the sight hit him harder than expected — the room half-empty, bags packed neatly, the scent of departure heavy in the air.
He said nothing.
