For days, Taehyung couldn’t erase the image of that boy from his mind.
He had seen many things in his life—things that left men broken, things that turned people into monsters—but never had something disturbed him the way that boy did.
The resemblance was too strong to ignore.
It was absurd, and yet, he found himself thinking about him at the most random moments—during meetings, late at night in his office, even in the midst of his training sessions. His mind kept wandering back to the sight of the small boy sitting alone, his quiet demeanor, the way he seemed so detached from the world around him.
Why was he always alone?
Why did he look so much like him?
The questions gnawed at him, and for the first time in years, Taehyung found himself restless over something he couldn't understand.
And he hated not understanding.
That’s why, after battling with his own thoughts for days, he found himself back at the school, standing outside the grand gates.
