Jaekook commanded, his voice cold and unforgiving.

And make sure the house is spotless before my guests arrive later today. And this time, make something edible. *Walks away*

With a heavy heart and aching limbs, Taehyung set to work, his hands shaking as he gathered the remnants of his shattered dreams from the floor.

And as he scrubbed away the stains of his husband's anger, he vowed to never again let his love be trampled beneath the weight of his cruelty.

As Taehyung knelt on the floor, gathering the broken pieces of porcelain in his trembling hands, a sharp pain shot through his fingers as a jagged edge sliced into his skin.

*Hisses* (What did I do to deserve this?)

He winced, feeling warm blood welling up from the wound, but he clenched his teeth and said nothing, determined to bear the pain in silence.

(All I wanted was to have a peaceful and happy marriage. But this...)

With each shard he picked up, his fingers grew slick with blood, the crimson droplets staining the pristine tiles beneath him. But still, Taehyung remained steadfast, his gaze fixed upon the task at hand as he willed himself to ignore the throbbing ache in his hand.

Jaekook watched silently from the doorway, his expression unreadable as Taehyung worked tirelessly to clean up the mess he had made. But not once did he utter a word of complaint, his patience a silent testament to the strength of his resolve.

(Everything is gonna alright, Taehyung. It will. Surely.)

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Taehyung rose to his feet, the last of the broken pieces safely discarded in the trash. He turned to face Jaekook, his fingers still dripping with blood, and offered him a small, weary smile.

It's done.

He said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jaekook's eyes softened for the briefest of moments, a flicker of remorse crossing his features before he turned away without a word.

And as Taehyung watched him disappear down the hallway, his heart heavy with unspoken sorrow, he knew that no amount of pain could ever extinguish the flame of his enduring love.
