Taehyung's heart skipped a beat, panic rising in his chest. He had worked so hard to keep his struggles hidden, to protect the façade of his marriage, but now, sitting in front of Jimin, he felt exposed. Vulnerable.

He quickly looked down, his fingers twisting together in his lap.

Nothing’s wrong, Jimin.

He insisted, his voice a little too quick, too rehearsed.

Kim Taehyung

I’m fine. Really.

Jimin leaned forward, his eyes filled with concern.

Park Jimin

Taehyung, I know you better than that. You look… tired. You don’t seem like yourself. And I’ve noticed those cuts on your hands. Are you sure everything’s okay?

Taehyung swallowed hard, his throat tight as he tried to hold back the flood of emotions threatening to break through.

He couldn’t tell him the truth—not about the coldness of his husbands, the constant emotional abuse, the nights filled with loneliness and silent tears.

He had lived in this lie for so long, he didn’t know how to say anything else.

So, he forced a smile.

It’s just been a lot lately, with the house and everything. The Jeons… they’re demanding, but it’s normal. Nothing I can’t handle.

Jimin didn’t seem convinced, his frown deepening.
