Episode 20

The next day, Orion was woken up early to deal with some urgent pack matters. Before leaving, he leaned down and gave a soft kiss on Freya's lips, who was still sleeping peacefully.

After waking up, Freya had a quick bite to eat and decided to go see her black rose, the only memory that connected her to something special. As she admired the flower's beauty, Koda watched her from afar, intrigued by the scene.

Taking the opportunity, he approached.

"Black rose?" he exclaimed, startling Freya. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" he hastened to say, noticing her reaction.

"It's okay," she replied, a little nervous, but a slight smile formed on her lips.

Koda, sensing her relaxing, took the opportune moment to ask a question.

"Freya, who is your mother?"

Freya looked at him, surprised by his insistence on knowing about her family.

"Althea!" she exclaimed, without thinking.

Koda froze, already suspecting the connection between them.

"Althea..." he whispered, trying to process the information.

"Did you know her?" Freya asked, curiosity evident in her gaze.

"Freya," Koda said, gently holding her face. "Althea was my sister!" he exclaimed, leaving her in shock and full of questions.

"What do you mean?" she asked, confusion taking over.

"She was my older sister. I was very young when she was sent here, but I managed to memorize her scent." He spoke with nostalgia, and Freya felt a mixture of emotion and surprise.

"When I saw you and smelled your scent, I immediately remembered her! Our blood runs in your veins, Freya." Koda looked at her intensely, the revelation hanging in the air.

Freya, taken by a whirlwind of emotions, hugged him, sealing that encounter that would change everything. She had always believed that she was alone in the world, without family, without a pack.

"You are from the East. Orion hid this from you. Why would he do that?" asked Koda, the concern evident in his voice.

Freya felt a wave of nervousness and frustration. Koda's revelation made her feel betrayed by Orion, who had hidden something so crucial from her life.

"I don't know!" she exclaimed, the disappointment clear in her tone.

"Freya, if you are not happy here, know that your pack awaits you. The East is your home. We can undo your pact if you wish. I know you were forced to marry and are not accepted in this pack," Koda declared, the sincerity in his words touching her deeply.

Freya hesitated, trying to absorb the magnitude of everything she had just heard.

"I need time. I need to think a little," she said, her voice trembling.

"I understand. Whatever your decision, I'll be here to support you," Koda affirmed, leaning in to give Freya's forehead a soft kiss, conveying comfort and understanding.

During the night, Freya awaited Orion's arrival, her heart racing with a mixture of nervousness and anger. The hours seemed to drag on, and the tension in the air was palpable.

When the Alpha finally entered the room, exhausted after a long day, he took off his coat, relieved of the weight he was carrying. Freya sat on the bed, her eyes fixed on the floor, lost in thought.

Orion looked at her and immediately realized something was wrong.

"Freya, are you okay?" he asked, the concern evident in his voice.

She looked up, her eyes locking on his, full of determination.

"Why did you hide this from me?" she asked, her voice grave and firm.

Orion realized that she already knew about her true lineage. Even with the firm posture of an Alpha, he lowered himself before her, seeking a contact that now seemed distant.

He caressed Freya's face and kissed her, but she pushed him away.

"Why?" exclaimed Freya, determined to hear the truth.

Orion hesitated, struggling internally to admit his feelings. This was something that cost him dearly.

"I didn't want you to leave!" he confessed, his voice thick with emotion.

"I had the right to know!" Freya shot back, frustration overflowing. "I spent all this time believing I had no one left. You knew I had a family and a pack, but you kept me here and forced me into this marriage!"

"We were married by the grace of the gods! They forced us, Freya!" Orion exclaimed, trying to justify his actions.

Freya looked at him, as if his words only made matters worse.

"All this time you've been forced to live with a woman you don't love. Why didn't you send me to the East?" she questioned, cornering him with her words.

Orion felt the weight of his own truth.

"I needed to fulfill the will of the gods!" he exclaimed, leaving Freya even more disappointed.

She stood up, looking at him once more before declaring:

"I will go with my uncle tomorrow!" she said with determination.

Freya turned her back, walking towards the door.

"If you go, there will be war between the East and the North. I won't let you go!" he yelled, his voice firm and authoritarian.

Freya turned around, fury pulsing inside her.

"And why do you care if I go? Why does it bother you so much? Leaving a woman you don't love!" she yelled, her eyes burning with indignation.

On impulse, Orion grabbed her and kissed her fiercely, as if trying to communicate through the kiss, expressing all the confusion and desire he felt.

She pushed him hard and left the room, leaving Orion frustrated and nervous, the internal battle between his feelings and duties echoing in his mind.

The young woman sat in the garden, trying to calm her racing heart. Tears streamed down her face as she gazed at the crescent moon, searching for an answer in the stars.

"What do you want from me?" she whispered, her voice almost an echo in the stillness of the night. She felt lost, as if being pulled in opposite directions.

Lucky, who was watching from afar, noticed the tension in the air and approached, joining her under the silver glow of the moon.

"You knew too, didn't you?" Freya asked, without taking her eyes off the moon.

Lucky, already imagining the seriousness of the situation, replied with a sad nod.

"Yes, I knew."

"Why did you hide this from me?" Freya exclaimed, the frustration evident in her words.

"Freya, Orion feared that you would go east upon discovering that you had a family," Lucky explained, his voice soft and understanding.

"Orion likes to decide everything, regardless of other people's feelings!" she said, disappointed, the bitterness evident in her voice.

"Freya, you didn't see what I saw. The connection between you and Orion is undeniable. That night in the forest, he heard your screams, he smelled your scent. No one else felt what he felt. We were too far away, but he felt a protective instinct grow within him. He went to you determined to save you."

Freya looked at Lucky, her eyes reflecting a mixture of pain and confusion.

"I know things haven't been easy for you, but you don't know what it's like to live without your chosen mate. I waited my whole life for your mother; I could never move on. When I learned of her death, it was a blow to my chest. Your mother chose your father and waited for him until she couldn't bear the longing anymore. That's how wolves are, Freya. When they are away from their chosen ones, they are like dry leaves thrown to the wind. You and Orion are even more special; the gods have united you. If you stay away from each other, you will only hurt yourselves. Believe me, it is not easy to be away from those we love," said Lucky, the sincerity in his words.

"Orion doesn't love me," exclaimed Freya, the sadness evident. "He is driven by the moon, by obligation, not by love. He doesn't care about those things."

"Maybe he's just not ready to admit his feelings, Freya. Orion has always been difficult to show how he feels, and when he's with you, he changes. Don't forget that he is an Alpha," exclaimed Lucky, walking away and leaving Freya with her thoughts.

Upon returning to the room, Freya lay down while Orion ran through the forest, trying to calm his nerves. His red eyes and dark fur gleamed under the moonlight.

When he finally returned, Freya was asleep. He watched her, feeling a wave of despair as he realized he could lose her.

"Don't go!" he whispered, running his hand across her soft face.

The night passed, and when Freya woke up, she was determined to leave. Part of her wanted to stay, but another part yearned for her lineage.

Orion walked into the room and closed the door behind him, his expression serious.

"What are you doing?" exclaimed Freya, surprised.

"I told you, you're not going!" he said resolutely.

"Orion, we don't need to argue anymore. It's only going to make things worse!" Freya protested.

"You're not leaving this room!" he exclaimed, the determination in his voice undeniable.

"Why don't you want me to go?" Freya asked, expecting to hear the truth.

"You are my mate and you need to stay with me!" he declared, his voice authoritative.

Freya, impatient, tried to leave, but Orion held her back.

"Freya!" he exclaimed nervously. "I... I don't want you to go..."

"Why don't you want me to go, Orion?" she repeated the question, seeking clarity in his eyes.

The two stared at each other, their hearts pounding and gasping for air.

"Because I love you!" he exclaimed, the urgency in his voice echoing like a powerful echo in the soft breeze. "I desire you! I can't stand to be away from you! You are mine! My mate!" The words escaped his lips with a burning intensity, charged with a deep and overwhelming feeling.

At that moment, Freya couldn't resist. With a surge of passion, she leaned forward and kissed him intensely, as if to seal that moment forever. Orion, overcome with emotion, took her in his strong arms and lifted her, gently placing her on top of the dresser, where the daylight reflected off their faces, creating a halo of warmth and brightness around them.

As the closeness became even more intimate, Orion began to kiss Freya's neck, his warm, soft lips exploring every inch of her skin. He caressed her intensely, as if trying to convey all the love and desire he felt for her through every touch, every whisper.

There, in the light of day, they sealed that moment of surrender and declaration, a silent pact that they belonged to each other. Freya felt certain that, despite the uncertainties of the world around them, at that moment, they were exactly where they were meant to be: together.

During the farewell, Koda walked towards his niece with a serious but welcoming expression. Sunlight filtered through the trees, creating a unique and emotional atmosphere.

"So what have you decided?" he asked, his tone laden with expectation.

"I will stay by my mate's side," exclaimed Freya, her determination radiating confidence. It was a choice that came from the bottom of her heart, and she did not hesitate to express it.

Koda smiled, relieved and proud.

"Our doors will always be open!" he exclaimed, leaning in to place a soft kiss on Freya's forehead, a gesture that carried all the love and protection he felt for her.

"I'll visit you soon!" promised Freya, the cheerfulness in her voice reflecting the hope of keeping family ties strong. Soon after, she turned and hugged Liana.

"Now I'm your aunt and sister-in-law!" exclaimed Liana with a playful smile, breaking the tension of the moment. The two laughed together, a joyful sound that echoed through the trees.

"I want you two to be very happy!" Freya said, the sincerity etched on her face, as she looked at the two with affection.

Koda then addressed Orion, his gaze turning serious.

"You better take good care of her, or we'll have serious problems," exclaimed Koda, his voice firm as the two stared deeply at each other. There was a clear understanding between them: Freya's protection was a priority.

Orion nodded, acknowledging the gravity of the statement.

"You can count on me," he replied, the determination in his voice reflecting his commitment.

Then, to break the ice, Koda smiled and held out his arms.

"Give me a hug!" he exclaimed, and Orion didn't hesitate. They embraced, a warm exchange that symbolized a new beginning between them.

Freya and Orion, now arm in arm, waved to Koda and Liana, who were already moving away. The sun shone brightly, promising a bright future.

Orion turned to Freya, leaning in to give his mate a soft kiss. With their hearts intertwined, they turned their backs on the farewell and began to walk back to the castle, ready to face whatever the future held, together.

During the night, lying in bed, Orion admired Freya. The soft moonlight filtered through the curtains, illuminating the contours of their faces as they faced each other. He caressed her hair, his fingers gliding gently, as if afraid her beauty might dissipate at any moment.

"The gods were right," he exclaimed, breaking the silence with an intense voice. "They sent you to me to bring relief to my soul, to fill the void in my heart. Do you feel it too, Freya?" he asked, his voice trembling with anticipation.

Freya hesitated, the vulnerability in her gaze revealing a deep conflict.

"I'm afraid to love you, Orion. I'm afraid this love will destroy me," she replied, the sincerity in her words cutting through the air between them like a sharp blade.

Orion looked at her with burning determination.

"I will never hurt you!" he exclaimed, his voice laden with promise. "At least not your heart!" he joked, trying to bring a smile to her face, even knowing that their natures were not so simple.

Freya smiled, but the shadow of her fear still lingered.

"I love you!" she declared, and those words were like a spell, enveloping them in an intense aura of desire.

Orion didn't hesitate. He pulled her close and kissed her, the kiss was hot and sweet, as if every touch of their lips ignited a flame that had been dormant. The passion between them grew like an untamable fire.
