Episode 7

The night fell slowly, and Freya was alone in her room, brushing her hair with automatic motions, trying to calm the storm of emotions consuming her. The silence of the night was abruptly shattered when the door swung open with a bang, revealing Orion, who entered the room with a serious expression.

"We need to clarify a few things" he exclaimed, his voice firm and authoritative.

Freya, still facing away, felt her heart race. She didn’t want to confront him, but the tension in the air was palpable. As she continued to brush her hair, her mind spun with confusing thoughts.

"You and I will sleep apart" Orion continued, cutting through the silence. "We’ll only be together when you’re ready to mate."

At that moment, Freya couldn’t hold back. She turned swiftly, facing him with indignation surging within her.

"I will never mate with you!" the young woman declared, the determination in her voice echoing off the walls of the room. "Do that with your mistress!"

Orion’s reaction was instantaneous. He stepped forward, gripping her arms tightly, pressing her against the wall. Freya felt her heart race, his proximity intensifying the fear and anger that swirled within her.

"Missandre was already a part of my life before you unfortunately crossed my path" he said, his voice low but filled with intensity. "The day you’re ready, I won’t hesitate to put a child in you, even if it means tying you up!" he shouted, and his words carried a threatening weight that left her nervous and scared.

Freya looked into his eyes, searching for some fraction of empathy or understanding, but found only the ferocity that made him the Alpha. What should have been a moment of connection turned into a prison, and the idea of being forced into something she didn’t want left her paralyzed.

Shortly after, Orion stepped back, slamming the door with such force that the walls of the room trembled. The echo reverberated in Freya’s mind, and she stood there, alone, feeling vulnerability and pain wash over her. Tears began to slide down her face, and she let herself sink to the floor, enveloped in a suffering that felt unbearable.

"Why is this happening?" she whispered to herself as loneliness wrapped around her like a heavy cloak. The night stretched out before her, filled with shadows and uncertainties, and Freya found herself lost, not knowing how to navigate a world that seemed to have turned hostile and incomprehensible.

...****************...

At dawn the next day, the soft light of the sun filtered through the curtains of Freya’s room, but the warmth of the morning couldn’t dissipate the cold still lingering in her heart. Liana entered the room with a glow of energy and joy, interrupting Freya’s heavy thoughts.

"Wake up, sleepyhead!" Liana exclaimed, pulling the covers away, causing the young woman to sit up in bed, her eyes still droopy.

Seeing her downtrodden expression, Liana immediately grew concerned.

"Are you okay?" she asked, worry evident in her voice.

Freya hesitated, nodding in confirmation even though she didn’t feel well at all. She didn’t want to let on about the tension of the previous night, but the mask she tried to wear was fragile.

Liana, however, didn’t seem convinced. Her eyes were fixed on Freya’s neck, and her expression morphed into confusion.

"He didn’t mark you?" the young woman questioned, curiosity obvious.

Freya was taken aback by the question. “Mark?” she repeated, trying to understand what she meant.

"Yes!" Liana explained, excitement building in her voice. "When a wolf finds his mate, he marks her, making her exclusively his. It’s a symbol of their union."

Freya felt a chill run down her spine. The idea of being marked, of belonging to someone in that way, terrified her deeply. Her mother had never spoken about such traditions, and the lack of knowledge only left her feeling more vulnerable.

"I... didn’t know that" she murmured, unease growing inside her.

Noticing her friend's mood, Liana quickly changed the subject, as if seeking to dispel the dark thoughts.

"Come on! Let's go for coffee" she exclaimed, wearing a hopeful smile. "Today I will take you to a special place!"

Freya tried to perk up, getting out of bed and preparing for the day. As she dressed, her mind still spun around Liana's words and what it meant to be marked. But for now, she decided to push her worries aside and follow her friend.

Together, they descended the stairs and stepped out into the fresh morning air. The smell of food and baked bread filled the air, and Freya felt a slight relief as she allowed herself to get swept up in the routine.

"What do you have in mind?" she asked, curiosity beginning to take hold.

"You’re going to love it! It’s a place where we can relax and have some fun, away from all this tension" said Orion's sister.

Liana was radiant with enthusiasm as she prepared for the little getaway. With a smile on her face, she grabbed some fresh fruit from a basket and organized towels carefully before heading out.

"Let’s go!" she exclaimed, pulling Freya by the hand.

The two friends stepped through the front door and entered the forest that surrounded the village. The air was fresh and invigorating, and the smell of damp earth mixed with the aroma of trees and wildflowers. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a play of light and shadow that danced around them as they walked.

As they moved further away from the village, the sound of the river began to grow more audible, a soft murmur that promised tranquility. The path was lined with tall, imposing trees, whose canopies formed a canopy that filtered sunlight, creating a magical and welcoming atmosphere. The singing of birds and the rustling of leaves in the breeze provided the perfect soundtrack for their journey.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached a clearing where the river meandered gently among the stones. The crystal-clear water reflected the blue sky, and small waves formed around the rocks, creating a serene setting. The riverbanks were covered with lush green grass, dotted with colorful wildflowers that swayed in the breeze.

"This is perfect!" "said Liana, laying the towels out on the soft grass." A place just for us, away from everything!

Freya looked around, feeling her tension begin to dissipate. The setting was welcoming and inviting, and the natural beauty enveloped her like a hug. She sat down on the towel, watching the water flow gently, and felt a wave of tranquility wash over her.

Liana began to arrange the fruits, placing them attractively on the towel. Purple grapes, slices of juicy watermelon, and some crisp apples were laid out, waiting to be savored.

"Let’s refresh ourselves!" "said Liana, picking a grape and offering it to Freya, who accepted it with a smile. The sweet taste of the fruit was invigorating, and Freya felt joy beginning to bloom within her."

"I'm so glad you brought me here" said the young woman, looking at her friend with gratitude. "I needed a moment like this."

"Sometimes, all we need is peace and good company" Liana replied, with a sparkle in her eyes.
