Episode 4

Upon arriving at the pack, Freya was dazzled by the sight of the enormous castle that stood majestically in the middle of the forest. The castle, with its imposing towers and ornate windows, looked like a dream come true. The soft lighting emanating from within created a magical contrast to the darkness of the night, and she couldn't help but feel a welcoming warmth invade her heart.

"Come on, you need to rest!" exclaimed Orion, his voice resonating with the authority of a natural leader.

Freya followed him inside, her eyes wide with admiration as she explored the interior. The space was vast and refined, with walls adorned with tapestries and a scent of aged wood and wax that permeated the air. She felt as if she had entered a completely different world, a place where the rules were different and magic seemed to vibrate in every corner.

"Sit down," he ordered, pointing to a sofa that occupied part of the great hall.

Freya obeyed, but as she sat down, she realized that her wounds were still bleeding, the pain starting to become more acute now that the adrenaline was wearing off.

Orion, noticing her distress, quickly went to a shelf where he kept some vials and clean cloths. With surprising care, he treated Freya's wounds, cleaning them skillfully and applying ground herbs that appeared to have magical properties.

"Thank you!" exclaimed the young woman, looking at him with genuine gratitude.

"Don't thank me! Thank the gods, because if it were up to me, you'd still be there!" his reply was curt, but Freya sensed a layer of concern in his words. The harshness of his voice couldn't hide the care he took in caring for her.

After treating her wounds, Orion took her to a room. Freya entered and, upon seeing the surroundings, felt a wave of relief. This was the first time in a long time that she had felt safe.

"Rest," he said, closing the door behind him. "Tomorrow will be a new day, and you will need strength."

Alone in the room, Freya let herself fall onto the bed, closing her eyes for a moment. The emotions of the night flooded over her, and a mixture of confusion and hope formed in her chest.

As the night wore on, the young woman finally allowed herself to relax, knowing that whatever challenges lay ahead, she would no longer be alone. And somehow, the connection that had begun in the forest still pulsed within her, like a flame about to ignite.

...****************...

The next day, the first rays of sun filtered through the bedroom window, waking Freya from her long and tiring night's sleep. She got up, still a little groggy, and walked to the window. As she opened the curtains, her eyes lit up as she saw life pulsating outside: children playing, adults talking, everything reminded her of the village she came from. A smile spread across her face as she watched the scene, feeling a little more at home.

However, the sound of whispers behind the door caught her attention.

"Do you think she's awake yet?" asked an anxious voice.

Curiosity got the better of Freya, and she decided to open the door. As she did so, two young women who were about to enter were startled and let out a small cry.

"Hi!" exclaimed one of them, with a broad smile.

The young woman, still a little shy and embarrassed, replied:

"Hi!"

"Are you the human?" one of them asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Freya hesitated for a moment and, awkwardly, replied:

"My name is Freya."

"I'm Liana!" said the young woman, enthusiastically.

The two looked at each other, as if waiting for an invitation to enter. Realizing this, Freya smiled and said:

"Come in!"

The young women entered, sitting on the bed and beginning to admire her blond hair, running their fingers through her locks as if they were something precious.

"Are you my brother's Luna?" Liana asked, leaving Freya confused.

Liana

"What do you mean?" Freya asked, intrigued.

Before Liana could answer, a mature and imposing woman interrupted the conversation. She looked the young woman up and down, assessing her with a critical eye.

"You need a bath!" said the woman, her voice firm.

Freya looked down at herself, realizing that she was dirty and her clothes were torn. A slight blush crept up her face as she got up, and the girls led her to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, Freya found herself immersed in a bathtub full of warm water, while Liana and the other young woman gently scrubbed her body. The warmth of the water and the girls' soft touch made her feel relaxed, as if all her worries were dissipating.

Meanwhile, in the Pack Hall, the atmosphere was tense. Orion was meeting with the betas and priests. The conversation revolved around the young human woman who had arrived and the implications of her presence.

"They said you heard her call and that you protected her. The pack rules are clear about these signs. The goddess Luna sent her to you," the priestess said, her face serious.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Orion, confused and a little irritated.

"The pack says that when the gods send a mate to the alpha, he feels strongly called, and his instinct to protect is born. If the gods sent her to you, then she must be your mate!" exclaimed the priestess, her voice firm.

"I didn't choose her! We don't even know if she's like us!" Orion protested, his frustration growing. "I am the Alpha, and I will not allow this.”

"You are the alpha, but our rules apply to everyone. Peace between the wolves and the gods must be maintained," said a beta, his grave tone echoing through the room.

The argument escalated, voices rising and gestures becoming more dramatic. Orion felt trapped between his duty as leader of the pack and his own doubts about Freya. Meanwhile, in her room, the young woman was transforming, not only physically, but also beginning to understand the role she could play in this new life.

After getting ready, she took a deep breath, feeling anxiety accompany her. With hesitant steps, she made her way to the dining room, where a magnificent table awaited her, laden with vibrant fruits and warm breads, the delicious aroma hanging in the air. Stomach rumbling, she sat down, barely able to contain the hunger that consumed her, and began to devour the meal, almost as if each bite could help her forget the confusion that surrounded her.

As she lost herself in the taste of the food, Arya, the woman who had entered her room, joined her. The matriarch, with a strong presence and piercing gaze, observed her for a moment.

"Freya, my name is Arya. I am the matriarch of this family and mother of the Alpha," she introduced herself, her voice firm and clear, conveying a mixture of authority and concern.

Freya looked up, a mixture of respect and nervousness in her gaze.

"Nice to meet you, Arya," she replied, trying to hide the insecurity that consumed her.

The matriarch, sensing the tension in the air, leaned forward slightly.

"Tell me, how did all this happen?" the question came out like a plea, an attempt to understand the twists and turns of fate.

Freya hesitated, the memories of the night before flooding her mind like a whirlwind. She remembered the full moon shining brightly in the sky, as if calling her.

"Last night, I was looking at the full moon and something about it drew me in, as if I were hypnotized. It was like an invisible force was pulling me. When I realized it, I was already in the forest..." she began to explain, her voice trembling slightly. "Two men attacked me, and in my despair, the wolves came to my rescue.”

Arya listened intently, a smile of admiration forming on her face, but also a weight of responsibility in her heart.

"Well, finish eating, okay?" she finished, her mind still processing the revelations, and stood up to go to the living room, the tension accompanying her.

Upon entering, she found a heated discussion. The atmosphere was charged, as if a clap of thunder was about to manifest.

"Freya was sent to you by the goddess Luna, Orion!" exclaimed Arya, interrupting the tense conversation, her voice resonating with unexpected force.

Orion turned to his mother, his fury evident in every tense muscle.

"Freya was enchanted by the goddess Luna who took her there. This all had a purpose. If the gods sent her, we must do their will!" insisted Arya, the determination in her voice almost palpable.

"I will not unite with this woman! She is not even an omega! This is absurd!" shouted Orion, anger pulsing through his veins like a volcano about to erupt. "I am the Alpha of this pack and I will not accept a human as my mate!" He turned abruptly, the disdain in his gaze as deep as the abyss.

Lucky, realizing the gravity of the situation, decided to follow his nephew, his heart heavy with the tension that permeated the air.

"Orion, think about it, they are right..." Lucky began, his voice soft, but was immediately silenced.

"Shut up!" he shouted, his growl sharp as a razor blade, causing Lucky to recoil, his eyes wide.

Orion, now with his eyes burning a deep red, faced Lucky, the fury and pain in his gaze almost unbearable.

"If I knew this would happen, I would have left her there to die!" he shouted, each word coming out as if it were an open wound, exposed to the wind.

Lucky, with a serenity that seemed almost supernatural, looked into his nephew's eyes and said:

"You would have saved her anyway, because she belongs to you, whether you like it or not.”

Those words echoed deeply in Orion's mind, but he, overcome with anger, turned his back on Lucky, leaving him behind in the room where the tension still hung in the air like a storm about to break. With a racing heart and a mind clouded with confusion, the alpha crossed the dining room, his heavy footsteps echoing in a frantic rhythm. As he saw Freya sitting at the table, a whirlwind of emotions stirred within him. Her gaze, full of vulnerability and uncertainty, met his, arousing a feeling he was desperately trying to repress.

A mixture of contempt and frustration took hold of him, as if her mere presence were a reminder of the weight of his responsibility. Without a word, he ignored her, leaving the house and transforming into a huge black wolf, the form of his true nature. The change was instantaneous, and he felt the freedom of his muscles stretching, the adrenaline coursing through his veins as he ran through the forest, fury and despair intertwining in his heart.

Meanwhile, Freya decided to take a walk through the village, hoping that the fresh breeze and the sounds of everyday life might calm her restless mind. However, as she walked the streets, she felt the curious stares and whispers that followed her like shadows. The atmosphere was heavy with murmurs, each word a deep cut into her already wounded heart.

As she spotted a child playing, her face lit up. She approached the little boy, her sweet, gentle smile reflecting the vulnerability she felt.

"Hi!" Freya said, her voice soft, like a melody trying to break the tension around her.

"Hi!" replied the little boy, his eyes shining with innocence and joy.

But suddenly, the child's mother, with a look of contempt that cut like a blade, approached and exclaimed:

"Son, come in!" the order left her lips like a scream, laden with disapproval.

Freya felt a chill in her stomach, as if the world around her had darkened. The smile that had previously lit up her face disappeared, replaced by a weight of sadness. She watched the child run into the house, and the pain of rejection hit her hard. There was confirmation that she was not welcome in that place, an intruder in a world that would never accept her.

Continuing on her walk, the whispers persisted, as if the voices of the village followed her, each phrase a new blow:

"Is it true that she is human?" a man asked another, incredulity in his tone.

"They say she charmed the Alpha..." whispered a woman, her tone full of disdain.

The words echoed in her mind, each one heavier than the last. The thought of being seen as an outsider, a threat, consumed her from within. With a heavy heart, Freya decided it was time to go home. There was no room for her there, among those looks and comments that made her a target.
