Alpha took Freya to the training ground, where the sun beat down on the hard-packed earth. Around them, a few wolves trained, but their attention was soon drawn to what was about to happen.
"Let's begin," said Orion, his voice firm. "The first step is to train your defensive reflexes. You need to learn to protect yourself."
Freya swallowed, feeling the pressure of being watched. Orion stood in front of her, a challenging smile on his lips.
"Pay attention. I'm going to attack, and you need to defend yourself," he warned, his gaze serious and focused.
Freya nodded, trying to calm her nerves. Orion lunged forward, throwing a punch at her. The young woman instinctively dodged to the side but not enough. The blow hit her arm, making her stagger back.
"Don't get carried away!" he said, his voice laced with determination. "Focus! Try to predict my movement."
Freya took a deep breath, trying to recover. Orion attacked again, and this time she braced herself. She managed to block the punch with her forearm, but the force of the impact still made her shudder.
"Better, but still not enough!" he exclaimed, pressing her. "You need to be faster!"
He charged again, and Freya realized she needed to change her strategy. Instead of just defending, she decided it was time to counterattack.
When Orion threw a punch, she dodged and, in a swift move, tried to strike him in the side.
However, the Alpha was faster. He swerved and, in a countermove, punched her in the abdomen. Freya felt the pain, gasping as she bent over slightly.
"That was good, but you need to learn to be more resistant," he said, showing no compassion. "And don't be afraid to hit me back!"
Freya straightened up, determined not to let the pain bring her down. Again, he attacked, and she prepared herself. This time, she blocked a punch and, in the next instant, threw a quick jab at his face. Orion was surprised but quickly recovered his posture.
"Very good!" he exclaimed, a glint of approval in his eyes. "Keep it up!"
But the fight was not easy. He continued to attack her, and despite her best efforts, he landed a few more blows on her body. Each hit left her more bruised and sore.
"You're doing well, Freya, but you need to get used to the pain. Learning to fight is also learning to endure pain," he said.
Freya was on the ground, her breathing heavy and the pain throbbing through her body. The fight had left her exhausted and battered, with a metallic taste of blood in her mouth. Orion watched her from above, a mixture of satisfaction and concern in his eyes.
"Well, we're done for today," he said, extending his hand to help her up.
The young woman hesitated for a moment but accepted his help, rising with difficulty. The corner of her mouth was stained with blood, and she wiped it with her hand, feeling frustration and anger bubbling inside her.
"Come on!" exclaimed Orion, and together they headed back to the castle.
The walk was silent, and Freya felt the weight of the experience on the training ground. When they got there, she said goodbye to him and headed for her room.
"Where are you going?" the Alpha asked, his voice firm and authoritative.
"To my room!" Freya replied, a little louder than she intended, the irritation evident in her words.
He didn't hesitate, his expression unwavering.
"We will sleep together during your period," Alpha exclaimed, the determination in his voice unmistakable.
The young woman frowned, her mind racing with the idea.
Orion observed Freya with keen perception, sensing that she was in her heat cycle. It was a primal intuition, an instinct manifested through the charged air around her. Her scent, normally subtle, was now becoming more intense, although the young woman was still unaware of what was happening. For her, everything was new and confusing, a reality that unfolded in ways she could barely comprehend.
When she finally recovered from the moment of vulnerability, Freya faced Orion, anxiety pulsing in her chest.
"I would like to sleep in my room!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling slightly, laden with an apprehension she couldn't hide.
The Alpha stared at her, his expression intransigent.
"When you're through your period, you can go back to your room," he replied, the firmness in his voice leaving no room for questioning. It was a categorical statement, a determination that would not easily bend.
He turned, his firm, decisive steps echoing down the hallway as he walked away, leaving Freya alone with her tumultuous thoughts.
...****************...
Night had fallen on the castle, and Freya found herself in Orion's room, a mixture of nervousness and anticipation washing over her. She looked at herself in the mirror as she combed her blonde hair, her fingers gently running over the silky strands that shimmered in the soft candlelight. She wore a white lace nightgown that accentuated her fair skin and delicate features, creating an image of innocence and fragility.
When the door opened, her heart skipped a beat, pounding erratically in her chest. Orion entered, and his presence seemed to illuminate the room. He took off his jacket and, in a decisive gesture, shed his clothes, standing completely naked before her. Freya's face flushed crimson, and shame enveloped her like a cloak, while anxiety left her restless.
Without a word, Orion went into the bathroom, where the warm water of the bathtub awaited him. Freya, still stunned by the previous scene, got up and lay down on the bed, covering herself with the sheets, trying to find some comfort. Her chest rose and fell rapidly; she was breathless and nervous, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts.
In the bathtub, the Alpha closed his eyes, allowing himself to relax as he felt his mate's scent intensify. It was a sweet and intoxicating aroma, a mixture of freshness and warmth that attracted him irresistibly. When he finished his bath, he dried himself and returned to the room.
Orion lay down next to Freya, and within moments, fatigue overtook him, sending him to sleep. The young woman lay still for a while, her conflicting emotions consuming her. When she finally turned, her eyes met Orion's serene face, and the sight of him asleep mesmerized her.
She had never seen him like this, vulnerable and peaceful. Warmth coursed through her body, leaving her even more breathless.
Unable to bear the intensity of that sensation, the beautiful young woman got up, trying to relieve the heat that was spreading through her veins. Each breath became deeper, and her eyes, normally clear, seemed to change color as the heat inside her grew.
Confused and trying to control herself, Freya left the room, each step seeming like a challenge.
In the room, Orion opened his eyes slowly, a slight, satisfied smile gracing his lips. He felt the flame burning within Freya, an energy that pulsed between them, and longed for her to want him too soon.
Moments later, as she turned, the young woman found Alpha in front of her, her heart pounding with a mixture of surprise and tension. The startle caused her to take an involuntary step back.
"Why did you leave?" he inquired, his deep voice echoing through the room, carrying an intensity that made her shudder.
"I came to get more water!" she exclaimed, her breathless voice betraying her nervousness.
Orion observed her, his deep eyes assessing her.
"Why are you nervous?" he asked, curiosity evident in his tone.
Freya tried to play it off, the anxiety building inside her.
"I got scared!" she replied, trying to hide the desire that was consuming her.
"You were already nervous before!" he exclaimed, a playful smile dancing on his lips, leaving her even more embarrassed.
"Orion, I'm sleepy. Let's sleep!" she pleaded, trying to stand her ground.
With a decisive movement, she turned and headed back to the room. Orion watched her for a moment, the conflicting emotions stirring within him, before deciding to follow her.
As they lay down, her intense scent and the rapid pace of her breathing ignited the wild instinct within him. In an uncontrollable impulse, he pulled Freya towards him, who was facing the other side of the bed. With a swift gesture, he pulled back the blanket that covered her, revealing her slightly exposed back. His fingers, as if with a life of their own, traced a delicate path along Freya's skin, who this time did not feel so much pain, but was breathless and startled by his boldness.
When Orion's claws slid, scratching her back, a shiver ran through the young woman's body, mixing pleasure and fear.
Orion, overcome by the urgency of the moment, turned her abruptly so that their eyes met. The intensity of his gaze made her feel an overwhelming heat enveloping her. In a decisive gesture, he held Freya's head and kissed her intensely. That connection completely enveloped her, but despite the burning desire, Freya fought against the intimate wild instinct that manifested between them.
Sensing her resistance, Orion, though reluctant, decided to respect the space that Freya was still trying to maintain. He let her fall asleep, allowing calm to return to the room.
Freya turned on her side, pretending to sleep, but her mind was still agitated by the intensity of what had happened. Orion, in turn, also surrendered to sleep, Freya's presence beside him creating an invisible bond that united them, even in the stillness of the night.
...****************...
Day broke that morning, bringing with it a soft light that filtered through the curtains. Freya woke up abruptly, feeling Orion's presence over her, his intense eyes fixed on hers. Startled, she screamed, her voice echoing through the room.
"Calm down! I'm not going to bite you!" he exclaimed, a slight smile on his lips, as if the situation were the most trivial in the world.
"Come on! We have a long day of training!" Orion said, getting up and starting to dress, his energy contagious.
As the young woman got up, the Alpha looked at her body and exclaimed, with a tone of admiration:
"Wow!"
Freya, confused, looked at herself and quickly realized she was naked. Panic seized her, and she grabbed the sheet, covering herself hastily.
"What happened? Who took my clothes off?" she asked, her voice trembling with nervousness.
Orion, with an air of unconcern, replied:
"I noticed you were hot at night and thought you were hot, so I took it off." The last part came out of his mouth with a sarcastic touch.
Freya, visibly irritated, questioned:
"What else did you do?"
He looked at her, a slight smile playing on his lips, before replying:
"We didn't do anything... Yet!"
In an impulse, the young woman threw an object at him, but Orion quickly dodged, the smile on his face widening. That expression of his made her even angrier, and she snorted, trying to contain the rage that was building inside her.
As she dressed, after Orion left, the young woman looked down at her hands and noticed something different. Her nails seemed more rigid and sharp. Curious, she ran her nails across the nearby furniture, and a deep scratch appeared, cutting through the wood as if it were paper. A smile of satisfaction spread across her face as she realized the transformation was really happening.
In the pack hall, Orion was immersed in his responsibilities, his firm and determined posture reflecting his role as Alpha. The atmosphere was tense, and the pack's problems demanded his immediate attention.
"Alpha, we are having serious problems with the southern pack," Lucky began, his grave tone highlighting the seriousness of the situation. "Every day that passes, more southern wolves invade our territory, attack our people, and eat our prey. Yesterday, two of our Omegas were killed while they were cultivating herbs."
Orion frowned, his gaze becoming penetrating.
"Find out who the Alpha of the south is and kill anyone who invades our territory. Take Vincent and Dareos with you. Let's get this over with," he ordered with a firmness that made it clear that patience had its limits.
Lucky nodded, bowing his head respectfully before withdrawing, determined to fulfill the mission.
Meanwhile, in the garden, Freya was observing the flowers with a somewhat disappointed look. Her eyes were fixed on a vase where she had planted a special seed.
"It hasn't been born yet!" she said, the sadness in her voice evident.
"Black roses are very rare, especially here in the north," Liana exclaimed, approaching and looking at the vase.
"This one is special. My mother taught me the art of transforming them," Freya explained, a mixture of nostalgia and longing filling her heart as she remembered Althea.
Liana, noticing her friend's melancholy, decided to share some news that might cheer her up.
"Freya, I have some news to tell you," she said, a smile lighting up her face.
Liana's sister-in-law turned, curiosity dawning in her eyes.
"I have been chosen to marry an Alpha, the Alpha of the east. He will be here soon to perform the ceremony," she announced, her voice overflowing with happiness.
Freya looked at her, admiring the joy that emanated from her friend, but a worry made her hesitate.
"I'm very happy, but... do you know each other?" she asked, the anxiety reflected in her tone.
"The last time we saw each other, we were teenagers. He needs a new mate," Liana replied, a hopeful gleam in her eyes.
"I hope you'll be happy, Liana. You're the best person I know!" exclaimed Freya, wrapping her friend in a tight hug.
"I will miss you!" Freya said, her emotions running high.
"I'll try to see you as often as possible! I swear!" promised Orion's sister, holding her sister-in-law's hands.
At that moment, Freya glanced sideways and saw the Alpha waiting for her. There he was, imposing and serious, as always.
"Well, I have to go!" exclaimed Freya, stepping away from the garden and walking towards him.
"Ready for today's training?" Orion asked, his serious tone almost making Freya hesitate.
"I am!" she replied, determination taking over her heart.
