Episode 11

Giulia gave me the dress to try on. It wasn't how I wanted to get married, but it was perfect for the situation.

Giulia: "Rafael passed on your measurements. It fits like a glove. I'll only need to make a few adjustments."

Maya: "It's beautiful, it's perfect!"

I wasn't going to object to anything, since this wedding was my biggest opposition. After the adjustments were made, I waited for Rafael downstairs. Giulia talked to me about him!

Giulia: "Rafael is a very handsome man, but despite being as handsome as he is, he's never given any of us the time of day."

Giulia: "No, he always knew he was promised to you."

At that moment Rafael enters with some bags in his hands!

Rafael: "Everything okay?"

Giulia: "Yes, Dom, your fiancee is lovely, super nice and dear. You're a lucky man."

Rafael: "Thank you, Giulia, I'm sure I am!" He puts his hand on my shoulder, I feel my body go heavy. I'm afraid he'll touch me, I'm paralyzed, quiet, just listening!

Rafael: "Tomorrow I want you at my house early. To help Maya!"

Giulia: "Of course, Dom, I'll be there!"

Rafael: "Great, see you tomorrow."

Giulia: "See you."

We left the studio and went to a beauty salon.

Rafael: "We're going in here, they're people I trust!"

We went in and a man came to greet us.

Man: "Dom, welcome."

Rafael: "Thank you, Luke, this is my fiancee, she's the one you'll be getting ready tomorrow."

He hugs me and gives me two kisses, one on each cheek.

Luke: "Oh, how beautiful! It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Maya."

Maya: "Thank you, Luke, it's nice to meet you too." He smiles, waving his hand to Rafael.

Luke: "I loved her. Well, what can we help you with?"

Rafael: "I want you and your team to be at Maya's disposal tomorrow for the wedding, hair, makeup, anything women like."

Luke: "Of course, I can't refuse a request from you. I'll be there early tomorrow."

Rafael: "Great." He looks at me!

Rafael: "Shall we?"

Maya: "Uh-huh." I say goodbye to Luke and we leave. We go to the car, Rafael looks at me!

Rafael: "Now let's go home, I'm tired of this."

I put my seatbelt on again and we leave. We go home silent and quiet, I don't know what could have happened to make him act like this, but today he's more subdued, apparently! We arrive back home, Rafael just looks at me.

Rafael: "I'll be working, you can walk around the house, enjoy the pool if you want." I don't say anything, I just listen, then he turns his back and leaves. I go up to my room again. Will my life be like this, stuck in a huge house with no one? From what I've seen, yes! I lie down for a while to rest, thinking that today is my last night of peace, then I will have to sleep in Rafael's room, I will have to fulfill my wifely duties and bear his heirs on top of it all! Soon Rosa calls us for lunch. I go down the stairs and to the table, I have lunch alone.

Maya: "Where is Rafael?"

Rosa: "Eating in the office, he has a lot of work, dear."

Maya: "I'm sure he does."

Rosa: "Dear, don't torture yourself like that, be strong and you will be rewarded!"

I smile at her, grateful for the words.

Maya: "You're right, Rosa! Thank you."

Rosa leaves the room, leaving me alone. I finish my lunch and go up to my room. I lie down to rest for a bit and end up falling asleep. Then I decide to enjoy this huge house, I put on a bikini to go to the pool. I look for one that makes me feel less vulgar, and you know what? With these clothes they bought me, it's quite difficult! I put on my bikini, apply sunscreen, grab sunglasses and a hat and head down.

I leave my things on the table and stretch out in the sun. It's very hot here, much hotter than in Moscow. I close my eyes, relaxing a little!

I leave the office after spending almost the whole day in there. I stayed there just so I wouldn't have to look at Maya. I go to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Rafael: "Where's my fiancee?" I ask one of the maids.

Maid: "By the pool, sir."

I take my glass of water and walk outside, I take a look and there she is, lying on a lounge chair, sunbathing. I confess, it won't be hard at all to have her in my bed. The damn girl is really hot, but she's not the woman I love! I approach her, Maya's eyes were closed. I throw some water on her stomach, making her shudder and sit up.

Maya: "Ouch, what was that?" She looks at me seriously.

Rafael: "I thought you might be hot." I give her an arrogant smile.

Maya: "Why don't you leave me alone?"

I lunge at her in a fury, I can't explain it, but everything she says to me makes me like this. I grab her jaw, making her look at me.

Rafael: "Because from tomorrow onwards, I will be your husband and you will owe me respect. You better get used to it, Maya." I let go of her, my breathing was ragged, Maya looked at me with fear! I walk away from her immediately.
