Martins hands a small piece of paper to his friend, goes inside, and closes the door. Angelo, stumbling, opens the paper and looks at the name. Julio Salvatore!
He walks through the alleys asking for that name, on the paper there was only an address, the name of a street. So he searches until he finally finds it. He talks to two men who are very rude to him, they grab him by the collar and take him to the second floor of a seemingly abandoned building. The men throw him on the floor.
Man - "Sir, this wretch was looking for you."
Julio - "Who are you and what do you want with me?"
Angelo - "They told me you could help me. I'm in debt."
Julio - "Well, well, I've become a charity worker now, helping people, boys!" They start laughing as Julio crosses his legs on the table and smokes a cigar.
Angelo gets up from the floor and looks at the Don.
Angelo - "Please, sir, I'm desperate. I have a mining company and I'm going bankrupt, I lost my house today, it was the last thing I had left."
Julio - "And how do you plan on paying me back?"
Angelo - "However you want. Please, just help me."
Julio - "You nouveau riche don't know how to manage the assets you have. Let's say I help you, what do I gain if you have nothing?"
Angelo - "I have nothing left but my 10-year-old daughter."
Julio takes his feet off the table, then takes the cigar out of his mouth, staring at Angelo.
Julio - "A 10-year-old daughter!?"
Angelo - "Yes, she's all I have left, I can't leave her on the streets, please help me."
Julio gets up and walks over to Angelo, stopping in front of him.
Julio - "Very well, I understand! What's your name?"
Angelo - "My name is Angelo!"
Julio - "Nice to meet you, Angelo, have a seat!"
Angelo finds the Don's reaction strange, but he sits down anyway. Julio sits down opposite him.
Julio - "I'll help you."
Angelo smiles excitedly!
Angelo - "Really? You won't regret it, I'll work to pay off my debt, I swear."
Julio starts laughing along with his henchmen.
Julio - "I don't want your money, Angelo!" He takes a puff of his cigar.
Angelo - "No? So what do you want?"
Julio smiles devilishly, looking at the idiot in front of him.
Julio - "I want your daughter!" At that moment, Angelo jumps out of his chair.
Angelo - "What do you mean my daughter? She's only 10 years old, I already told you!"
Julio - "Calm down, man, I heard you! I don't want your daughter for myself, I have a 12-year-old heir. When he comes of age, he'll have to marry to continue my legacy. Rafael needs a virgin bride to take over my business so we don't lose power, so your daughter fits perfectly."
Angelo - "No, I can't do that!"
Julio - "Come on, man, why not? You came here desperate, your daughter is a girl now, but ten years from now she'll be a woman. You just have to make sure she doesn't get involved with anyone and knows her duties." He smiles, looking at him!
Angelo - "I can't." He stands up, agitated. Julio gets up too, holding his shoulders.
Julio - "Is it really that bad? She'll be the wife of a mafia heir! She'll have riches, luxuries, and anything she wants. She just needs to save herself for him."
Angelo was shocked by the possibility, but his situation was delicate, he had no choice!
Angelo - "If I accept, do you promise to take care of my little girl?"
Julio - "Of course, she'll be family. I'll give you the money to recover, buy back all your possessions. I'll leave her with you until she's 20, then she marries Rafael and becomes his wife!"
Angelo cries, not knowing what he's getting himself into, but the situation left him desperate, so he says with a trembling voice!
Angelo - "Yes, I accept." He lowers his head as Julio smiles!
Julio - "Perfect! I'll have my men take you home. I'll be there tomorrow with my son to meet your little girl! I'll bring the contract and the money."
Angelo - "Alright."
Julio extends his hand to Angelo, who shakes it firmly, his expression is one of sadness, but if he didn't sell his daughter they would starve and go through hardship. The henchmen take Angelo to his house and leave him there.
