"Ready for your first of many days?"

"God willing, yes I am!"

"Then come on, because today you have to start with the video conference room because Mr. Caique has an important call. Afterwards, right there on that board, you just follow the order that is marked for the initial cleaning of the day. At the top, there will always be the first ones to go to as soon as you arrive. Flavia quickly showed me all the places in my sector. We just didn't enter Caique's room. Finally, I went to the video conference room.

It was large and as it was empty, it was great for cleaning, although it didn't even look dirty. As I said, everything in my cart was top-notch, so I left the place clean and fragrant.

I was just finishing cleaning a table that was in the corner and was probably for coffee, when I was startled by Caique and Saulo entering.

Saulo immediately wished me good morning, which I think I replied, because I was staring at Caique who also froze in his chair for a few moments.

I finished and was soon packing my things. Before leaving, I asked permission and from the door I looked into the room. Caique was looking at a piece of paper that Saulo had given him and I found his expression very tired.

As I headed towards the restroom area, I saw a woman get out of the elevator and she was elegance in human form. She was wearing a light blue dress, long but very flowing. Very high heels and full of jewelry.

She looked at Flavia with a look of disgust, but wished her good morning. But it was her look at me that made me want to cross myself. I said "good morning" with my head down and quickened my pace. Before entering the bathroom, I looked back and saw her also entering the video conference room.

I was in the men's room cleaning when Flavia called me from the door.

"Hi!"

"I just wanted to tell you something so you don't get lost. The one you saw passing by is Mrs. Branca Montenegro, Mr. Caique's mother. His brother also works here and his name is Matheus."

I couldn't get the look of that woman out of my head, but I continued my work. In an hour I had cleaned almost everything, all that was left was Caique's room, a meeting room and back to the video conferencing room as soon as they were finished there.

I was changing the garbage in Flavia's basket, right after finishing her desk, when the door to the room opened and the disgusted woman stormed out. Again her worst look was for me, but it was poor Flavia who heard it.

"Learn to choose your employee selection better, you incompetent."

Flavia's eyes were wide with shock and we watched the woman leave spitting fire. We were still in shock looking at the now closed elevator when we heard Caique's voice near us.

"Flavia, Fernando." - I immediately looked at him and must have had a terrified look on my face.

"Mr. Caique, did I do something wrong? Mrs. Branca..."

"Of course not. You are an excellent employee and do everything absolutely right and the way I like it." - His gaze turned to me. - "Fernando, did my mother say anything to you?" - I swallowed hard. - "You can tell me."

"No, she didn't address me in words, she just looked at me in a strange way." - I had to say and that made Caique let out a heavy sigh.

"Come to my office, please." — I looked at Flavia worried, it was my first day and I was already being called into the boss's office. She gave me a comforting look, even though she was still stunned by Mrs. Branca's words.

I followed my boss, pushing my cart. If I was fired, all I had to do was return it to Vanessa. But if the job was still mine, I would take the opportunity to clean his room.

As we entered the room, I watched Caique walk towards a sofa and turn his chair. I discreetly placed my cart in a corner and went over to him who motioned for me to sit on the sofa and so I did.
