*Derek
I woke up to my cell phone ringing. It was a call informing me about a child who had been left in a cabin in the woods, near a small town in the countryside. I get up quickly and go to the bathroom, wash up, and change clothes. I call Jorge and Brendon and tell them about the case. They tell me they are on their way. I go down to the office and wait for them to arrive. There is no time to have coffee and soon we are on our way to the location that was given. As soon as we arrive, I see a little girl with light eyes, my heart aches. Who would be capable of doing this to a child? I walk away a little and return to normal. Brendon hands me an outfit. He was driving the car while Jorge and I followed the trail through the woods. I see her and go up to her. She is scared.
Derek - Hello little girl, my name is Derek. Are you here alone?
She nods but says nothing.
Derek - What's your name?
She looks at me sadly and lowers her head.
Pietra - I'm Pietra.
Derek - Okay Pietra, can I sit next to you?
She nods and moves away so I can sit next to her on the old couch.
Derek - Where are your parents Pietra?
Pietra - They died, a bad man killed them, and left me here alone last night.
She looks at her hands and I see a tear roll down her eye.
Derek - How old are you?
Pietra - 8.
Derek - Pietra, I came here to help you, I want to know if you have any family, or if you want to come with me to a really cool place, full of children, where you will be very well taken care of.
Pietra - You're not going to hurt me?
I look at her with affection and hold her little hand.
Derek - No way, I promise I will take care of you, do you trust your uncle?
She looks at me and I try to convey confidence to her, I don't know what this little girl went through but I'm going to take care of her just like the other children I rescued. She decides to come with me and holds my hand, I take her to Brendon and Jorge and introduce her. She is shy but agrees to go with Brendon in the car, and so as not to scare her, I go along.
Pietra - Uncle Derek are you a wolf too?
I look at her and smile. She saw me transformed.
Derek - I am, were your parents too?
She nods and turns her face to the window. At the NGO, for now, there are only children who are also wolves, but that doesn't stop me from taking care of a human child too. After all, everyone needs help. We arrived at the NGO and I introduce her to Claudia, who quickly fixes a place for her, takes her to take a shower, and changes her clothes. She comes back and goes to the room where the other children are. Since I arrived I've smelled Allya's delicious scent and I'm dying to go see her, I'm finishing up some paperwork I need to fill out for Pietra, after all, she can be adopted by a family, so I need to pass everything on to the responsible agencies. Claudia enters the room and I see that she has a strange look on her face, but it quickly changes when I stare at her.
Claudia - Well, she's already with the other kids, so can we talk about us?
She smiles and winks at me.
Derek - There's nothing to talk about because there is no "us".
I speak dryly and directly, I turn my attention back to the computer and she approaches.
Claudia - My alpha, the mist is approaching and you need a partner.
Derek - I already have my partner, Claudia.
Claudia - It's not possible my alpha, that you're really going to trade me for that bland Allya.
I look at her angrily. What does this girl want from me? I always made it clear it was just sex.
Claudia - You know I can satisfy you, my alpha. We were together for two mists, you can't have forgotten our hot nights because of some random slut.
Derek - Shut your mouth Claudia, have more respect for my partner, she is my moon, and if there's anyone who's going to spend the mist with me from now on, it's her.
I smell Allya's scent closer, I look at the door but I don't see her, was she here?
Derek - That's enough, I don't want to hear you talk about my partner anymore, I'm done here. If you need anything ask Jorge.
I get up and leave the room, I know Claudia is a beautiful woman, but there was nothing between me and her, just sex during the mists. I go to the children's room and they are happy to see me, I give them attention and Pietra is in my lap, but what I really want is to satisfy my desire to kiss my Luna.
Derek - Could you lend me Auntie Allya for a minute?
The children say yes and she comes up to me smiling, oh how I love that smile. I take her to the garden area and we sit down.
Derek - I know you heard my conversation with Claudia, I want you to know that there is nothing between me and her.
Allya - You don't need to explain anything to me, after all, you had a life before you met me, so let's leave that behind, okay?
She smiles and I pull her in and kiss her mouth urgently, with longing, and she responds with the same intensity. We pull away for air and she rests her forehead against mine.
Derek - I want to take you to dinner tonight, no family lol, just the two of us.
Allya - Hmmm, okay I accept Mr. Alpha.
She looks at me with a mischievous look and my heart skips a beat.
Derek - I think you better not tease me, I told you that that word in your mouth is a temptation for me.
She laughs loudly and runs her hand across my face.
Allya - I didn't mean it, I swear. Lol.
We talked for a little while longer until Jorge told me through the connection that I needed to go to the office. I said goodbye to my wolf and went there. As soon as I arrived the Alpha Queen's beta was here.
Adrown - Alpha Derek, sorry to show up unannounced, I just came to see how everything is here.
Derek - Beta Adrown, it's a pleasure to have you, everything is fine, sit down, let's talk for a bit.
He sits down and I ask Jorge to serve him something, I need to update him on everything that's been going on, especially about my Luna, and now Pietra.
