"Let's get out of the shower and change," he suggested.
"I don't have any clothes here," Amanda replied.
"Don't worry, I'll send Gonzalez to buy some right now!"
"How? Everything is closed, it's late!"
"Don't worry! Wear this robe for now!"
Amanda and David exited the shower. Amanda donned the robe while David phoned Gonzalez, even though he was in the same house.
"Gonzalez has been notified; he'll find a way. Soon he'll be here with your clothes!"
"Okay, thanks!"
Amanda sat on the bed, quiet, staring into space, seemingly lost in thought.
"Do you regret telling?" David inquired.
"No… it's just.. it's a complicated situation, I feel so confused!"
"I know, I'm here with you, okay? You're not alone in this. We made mistakes together, and now we'll face the consequences together, okay?"
"Um-hmm! Thank you, David, for taking such good care of your girl!"
Amanda said this with a shy smile.
"I'll always take care of my girl!"
"Always?"
"Um-hmm! As far as I'm concerned, yes!"
There was a knock on the door.
"Sir? Should I fold the clothes and put them in Miss Amanda's closet?"
"No Gonzalez, just put them in my closet. Come in!"
"Yes… sir! Excuse me! Hello Miss Amanda, it's great to have you back!"
"Hi Gonzalez! Good to see you again! Thanks for the clothes!"
Gonzalez found it strange to see Amanda sitting on David's bed in a robe, and David only in a towel with no shirt. He entered with a bunch of shopping bags of clothes headed for the closet.
"Where did he get so many clothes? Were any stores open?" Amanda asked.
"Oh, he always finds a way!"
It didn't take Gonzalez long to finish.
"All done, Sir!"
"Thanks, Gonzalez. Good night, I won't bother you anymore today, ha ha."
"Good night, sir. Good evening, Miss Amanda!"
"Good night, Gonzalez! Thanks once more!"
Gonzalez left the room.
"Now you can choose some clothes to wear, maybe best to opt for pajamas ha ha."
"Alright ha ha!"
Amanda went to David's closet to browse the clothes.
