Episode 13

"How could I possibly do that? I've promised to take you home," said Rafasya.

"But I don't want to! You're treating me as nothing more than a shield! What do you think I am? Stop this car right now!" commanded Grizelda.

Reluctantly, Rafasya stopped the car, and Grizelda immediately stepped out.

She didn't want to waste another moment, Grizelda began to run to shed the unwanted fat.

Meanwhile, Rafasya's car followed slowly behind her.

"Why is he following me like this?" Grizelda muttered in annoyance.

However, Grizelda kept running, ignoring Rafasya trailing behind, and before long, she reached her house.

Rafasya watched for a moment as Grizelda entered her home.

"Hmm, so this is where she lives," murmured Rafasya with a nod. He then left the area.

Just as Grizelda entered the house, she saw her father with Evelin.

"Grizelda! Come here right now!" her father called out.

Grizelda approached lazily. "What is it?" she asked, her face marked with irritation.

"How dare you destroy Evelin's possessions! You're becoming braver by the day!" Surya scolded her.

"Am I your real daughter, or is she? You always buy things for her while neglecting me! You even show more love to your stepchild than your own flesh and blood! It makes me wonder if I'm really your daughter or not? And don't tell me my mother wasn't your wife either!" retorted Grizelda, staring fearlessly at Surya.

"Impudent girl! How dare you speak to me like that! You're so young yet you challenge me! Why can't you be like your older sibling! Having a child like you is pointless!" Surya yelled.

"Is that how it is? You'd rather have your stepchild! Fine, choose her as your biological child and turn me into your stepdaughter!" Grizelda said as she left Surya fuming with anger.

"Grizelda! You're no longer my daughter! Leave this house! None of this wealth belongs to you anymore! With your attitude, I can't keep my promise to your mother!" shouted Surya, his face red with rage.

Grizelda stopped in her tracks and turned to look at Surya deeply.

"If that's what you wish, I don't mind. But remember this one thing: a promise to someone who has passed is yours to keep or break as the living, but that promise will torment you one day. You'll regret what you've said today," she said.

Then she turned away and went to her room. She began packing her belongings into a bag.

She had no idea where to go, but the first step was to leave this hellish house.

Grizelda checked the balance in her system; it was enough to rent a room. But without work, she wouldn't be able to sustain herself daily, let alone cover her school expenses.

[Balance: 1,000,000]

"I need to make this last while I find a job, but I can only work at night while school takes up my day," Grizelda said to herself.

She prepared her things and took two suitcases out of her room.

Watching Grizelda leave, Surya remained silent, not uttering a single word, and as for Grizelda, she refused to bid farewell to those who had hurt her.
