The office was silent, with only the occasional sound of leaves rustling. The man, sitting in a wheelchair, was the only one there. But sooner than expected, someone knocked on the door, tapping only three times.

"Come in," he said. He had already told the raven-haired man that he could enter whenever he wanted, but he refused to do so and knocked every time. He knew he was stubborn, so all he could do was smile discreetly and let him pass.

The boy entered the room, although unlike previous days, he approached his desk stealthily, standing still without saying a word.

"Give me a minute. I just need to review this document," Jerome requested.

When two minutes had passed without a response, the alpha looked up. He met Noah's beautiful gray eyes, which were watching him intently. And he noticed that the edges of his eyes were a little swollen and red, making it evident that he had been crying.

"Everything alright?" he asked, placing the contract in his hands on the desk. Without waiting a second, he moved his chair and moved to his side.

"Eliza said my conversion is complete," the younger man mumbled, his voice thick with emotion. "Now, I'm an omega."

“He cried about that?”

Jerome didn't know why, but he had a feeling the boy wasn't doing very well and needed to be comforted, so he took his hand gently, as if it were something very precious.

"Did you have any negative after effects?" The alpha's mind wandered to the past life where Noah's body was very fragile. He feared that in this life he would suffer the same.

"None. Everything is normal. My body is healthy." He was able to breathe a sigh of relief, for at least his help had been of some use to the younger man.
