Susana felt comfortable at that moment, her medication and the good news about her health allowing her to finally relax. Pulling up the blanket, she finally felt her body loosen up, warm and sighing she let herself be carried away. Caressing her belly, encircling her womb as if she were already embracing her child. Sleepiness overtook her and she closed her eyes, wondering if her child would bear the physical traits of the mysterious and strange man who was its father. She could finally learn a bit about him since he was increasingly present in her mind.
"Susana..." Alucard stayed in the shadows, admiring Susana's beautiful face for a while, until he moved closer, utterly fascinated by her beauty, her full figure."I finally know your name."
"Who are you?" Susana murmurs when a warm voice emerges in her mind, whispered in her ear like a gentle breeze on a summer night.
"I am the man of your dreams..." Alucard's low and soft voice breaks the silence of the room. Leaning forward, his mouth just milliseconds away from Susana's face."After that night, I couldn't reveal myself yet..." His thumb gently grazes the woman's lips who carries his child."I had just awoken..." Kissing her slightly open mouth, he murmurs."And there were affairs in the shadows to handle before I could properly introduce myself."
"I know this isn't real..." Susana groans the words, tossing in the hospital bed, her lips stretching into an unconscious smile with the wonderful sensation rippling through her goosebumped body. Slowly opening her eyes, she immediately sees a pair of fascinating eyes intensely staring back at her."This is another dream..."
"This time it's not..." Alucard smiles, fully captivated by Susana.
"But how..." Susana starts to emerge from her initial daze, the beauty of her child's father was almost unreal, even so, she tries to compose herself, there was so much to say, to question.
"My lord!" The red-haired girl who had visited Susana's room earlier appears behind Alucard."The team is ready!"
"The night staff?" Alucard asks without taking his gaze away from his chosen one, mesmerized by his supernatural stare.
"We have compelled them." The girl declares nervously."They're ready to do as we instruct."
"Alright!" Alucard gently strokes Susana's face before declaring."I will answer anything you want but later." He locks his gaze with hers and employs the natural compulsion of a vampire."But now, I need you to sleep..." Gently, he adjusts the golden hair of his companion as she closes her eyes."You may begin!" Alucard commands, attentive to his medical team."But take care, if she gets hurt..." His eyes turn to blood and his fangs emerge sharp and threatening."You'll pay dearly."
"Lord…" Swallowing hard, the fake nurse declares with some apprehension."Would it not be better for you to leave?" Avoiding looking at the doctors preparing for an urgent cesarean, she adds."The blood…"
"What about it?" Alucard looks at his subordinate, a brow raised."I'm centuries old, I think I can control that instinct, don't you?"
"Yes... yes, of course!" The girl gulps, stepping backward toward the door.
"Besides, I am not hungry right now." Alucard crosses his arms over his chest, frowning."Perhaps it would be better for YOU to leave."
"Yes, that would be better!" She opens the door and, without even breathing, adds."I'll be outside managing the rest."
"Do that." Alucard announces, always watching every move of the medical personnel. They were anesthetizing the woman who would give birth to his child, and he wanted to oversee everything they did personally.
Minutes that felt like hours dragged on, at least that was Alucard's impression. He wasn't one to get nervous, but the tension and worry were evident in his posture. Sighing with frustration, he caressed the unconscious Susana's face, attentive to the procedure necessary to safely deliver his child and keep its mother unharmed.
"Sir, it's a boy..." One of the doctors appears smiling with a healthy baby in his arms.
"Master!!!!" The red-haired girl bursts into the room, her tense posture indicating her reluctance to enter, but it was an urgent matter that could endanger everyone in the room.
"What do you think you're doing?" Alucard growls, facing her in his transformed state. His child had gotten scared and now was crying nonstop.
"They're coming..." The girl declares, out of breath."I don't know how they found out we were here..."
"What???" Alucard growls, his teeth clenched."Those damned!!!" Staring at Susana and then at his child who had just been born, he makes a heavy-hearted decision."Call the others to hold them off for as long as possible..."
"Yes, sir…" The girl takes out her cellphone and after a brief order turns to her master."What are we going to do?"
"You are getting out of here..." Wrapping his perfect child in a hospital blanket, he instantly hands him to his most loyal follower."Take him to the mansion." Fixing his gaze on his child for the first time, he is moved to see the color of its eyes match his own."Take care of him, but tell no one."
"But sir..." She takes the tiny being, immediately protecting it with her embrace."I can't leave you here alone...without support..." She looks at the doctors attending to Susana."They will attack mercilessly."
"Don't worry about me." Alucard gently pushes her out of the room, caressing the still dirty face of his son, saying emotionally."Just protect him with your life if you must."
Alucard then joins Susana, asking the doctors about her health; reassured that everything was well, he compels them to forget what had occurred. He sits on the edge of the bed.
"Our son is perfect, my beloved." Alucard smiles, tenderly caressing Susana’s face."Thank you for taking such good care of your body and his all this time." Kissing the mother of his child's lips multiple times, he declares with a heavy heart."Forgive me...everyone will think you had a miscarriage..." His eyes fix on his future companion's pale unconscious face. Taking a deep breath, he strokes her hair in frustration."But what I am doing...is for your safety and that of our child..." Bringing his wrist to his mouth, he tears the flesh, sucking his own blood, and then presses his lips to hers, forcing her to drink the pure essence that has run through his veins for centuries."My blood will make you strong, healthy...until I return." Frustrated but resolute, he feels his comrades' vibrations outside the clinic. Taking a deep breath, he looks at his beloved's angelic, sleeping face one last time, confident even as he vanishes."So take care, my love...because now...you are Mine...and nothing can change that."
