Nobody knows anything

I wake up and it's quite late, I have overslept like a lazy person since we all have chores in this place. I quickly get up and put on something comfortable and rush out, and it's obvious, everyone has had breakfast and they are in their workplaces, and here I am like a fool not knowing what to do.

The visit from the Lycan is a mystery, so I'm going to talk to Anadely Trhee, maybe she knows something about that Lycan.

Anadely Trhee is casting spells to hide this place from the usurper's people, and I feel sorry for interrupting, but without thinking she catches me.

"Annia, come in please and tell me what's going on," she says, and I freeze because I don't know how she saw me at the door spying.

"Anadely Trhee, I apologize for the disturbance, but something happened yesterday and I want to know if you know anything about what I'm going to tell you," I see her turn towards me with a furrowed brow and she approaches the table to sit.

I explain everything that happened yesterday from morning to night, and I see her raise her eyebrows with anticipation, but it's not typical of her to show so many emotions at once.

"I've seen that huge and dangerous Lycan you're talking about, but he hasn't bothered anyone, and you're the first one to have a close encounter with him, so don't worry so much," she looks towards the forest as she speaks, but I can see that she's more happy than worried about it, and I'm getting more nervous.

"But, do you know who he is or who he was? Alenka told me that he no longer has his humanity, so I don't know how reliable that is," I rush to interrogate.

"That Lycan still has his humanity, but he's very weak. However, as I said, I don't know anything more about him since he is very apathetic. He knows he's dangerous, and no one messes with him because of his size and fierceness," she agrees with me on that, he is intimidating, but I believe I won't get any further answers, so I get up to leave.

"Annia, where are you going? First, have breakfast, you haven't eaten anything, and it's not good for your health," I am paralyzed because I didn't say I hadn't had breakfast, and this witch is really good.

"I've heard your stomach growling several times, and you need to nourish yourself properly. I've already told you that you're important and you shouldn't let your guard down," either she has very good hearing, or I'm assuming too much.

I go about my chores since I haven't obtained a logical response, so it's time to get to work.

When the sun sets, we hear the warning howl - renegades are nearby, and we must protect ourselves.

The witches come out with their wands and cast spells into the air to protect the village, but I think it's too late because 10 renegades enter the village, attacking everything they see. Here, there are only 3 alphas with 4 warriors, and they are outnumbered.

Those of us who don't fight run away because we would be more of a problem than a help, and we head towards the protective bunker underground, where we can disappear until the renegades leave. But as I'm about to reach Lau, a renegade stands in front of us, ready to attack.

His smell is disgusting, and his appearance is deplorable, but it's clear that he has fought many times because he still has several scars. Nevertheless, Kiara comes out, and I transform.

Lau is petrified and doesn't react, and neither does her timid and fearful wolf, Saysu, so it's up to me.

Kiara confronts the renegade and delivers several accurate bites while her opponent can't keep up with her agility. But just when we're winning, another renegade attacks me from behind, knocking me down and leaving Lau unprotected.

We get up, and Kiara jumps, positioning herself between the renegades and Lau. But I know I'm at a disadvantage, as there are two of them, and while Kiara can be agile and fierce, this is too much.

I'm ready for the first attack, but before it reaches me, I see the renegade being taken into the air and being split in two like a thin twig. Kiara looks at the tremendous Lycan who has killed the renegade and takes hold of the other one who is about to escape, tearing him apart in two swift movements.

Kiara wags her tail like a little puppy, looking at him with admiration, and it makes me nervous, her fascination with dangerous Lycans.
