The lesson

Five minutes pass and my boss calls me, I enter and I am surprised by what I see, the she-wolf is practically naked, leaning over his Majesty's desk, and he looks at her disinterestedly from his huge and fine executive chair with his usual poker face.

"Annia, come closer," my boss says in a cold voice.

"Yes, Majesty," I approach calmly while I notice the she-wolf glaring at me.

"Come closer, Annia," he repeats, a little frustrated, and I circle around the desk and move closer to him. Up close, he looks even more handsome. Can that be possible?

Suddenly, he pulls me by the arm like a ragdoll, I fall onto him and I do everything to get away and stand up. I protest as he doesn't let go of my arm and manage to get to my feet. Then, I give him a tremendous slap, and the world stops.

I'm in panic. If Apollo gets angry, I'll be wolf skin for decoration. I look at my hand, not knowing what to say, and hide it behind my back as if no one saw me slap the Lycan King.

I'm in panic until his Majesty stands up from his chair, and I'm about to faint.

"Did you see the difference, Eleonora?" my boss says, strangely calm.

"She hit Your Majesty, and she must be punished," Eleonora says, looking at me with hatred.

"No, Eleonora. Earlier, you asked me why you can't be my Luna, right? The answer is in Annia. She's an omega, and yet she demands respect, no matter how much of a King I am. She doesn't let herself be humiliated and won't humiliate herself for a position," I'm surprised but curious about what's happening.

"In contrast, Eleonora, you're an Alpha, and you're here willing to suck my dick just to be my Luna, without any regard for what you're doing. Shamelessly, you undress in front of me," He pauses and looks at me, my boss, with serenity (how strange).

"Eleonora, if I were to choose a Luna between these two she-wolves I have here, it would be Annia. And do you know why?" I see Eleonora, her eyes teary, and she just shakes her head.

"Annia preaches respect, strength, trust, temperance, justice, and bravery. What do you preach, Eleonora, while standing half-naked in my office right now? What is your virtue?" My boss looks at her sternly as Eleonora takes her clothes and leaves the office, crying with her head down, and I'm lost for what just happened.

"Annia, I apologize for scaring you earlier, but I had to make it clear to Eleonora that she can't be taking off her clothes everywhere and clinging to my crotch all the time," he looks at the window and seems frustrated about something, and I don't like seeing him like this.

"Majesty, is something wrong? Can I help?" I ask because he usually doesn't seem so contemplative.

"Annia, half of my family is pressuring me to abdicate my position as King because I don't have a mate and won't have offspring. What would you do?" I'm surprised. I knew his cousin was pressuring to become the King and take his place, but I don't think he has the temperament to match my boss.

"Majesty, I believe you should form an alliance with the alpha of alphas and marry a high-ranking she-wolf. That will distract the attention, and even if you don't have offspring, you can designate an heir among your nephews," my boss turns around and looks at me seriously, nodding.

"Annia, if you weren't already marked, I would have made you my Luna because you're wise and intelligent. I appreciate your advice. I will consider it. You may leave," he stays in the same spot, and I go back to my desk.

Today will be a long day, but thankfully, no one has asked me who has marked me. I suppose they assume it's my mate, but I'm not sure either.

I see Beta Boris arrive, looking worried, and he enters without even glancing at me, which is not normal since he is usually very attentive to me.

A few minutes pass, and they both hurriedly walk out, heading straight to the elevator without saying a word.
