Hi, my name is Helena Muñoz. I'm a werewolf. I live in Veracruz, Mexico, in an orphanage. I don't have parents since they died in a battle. I'm 20 years old. I transformed into a wolf when I was 18. I still haven't found my mate, but I hope to find him very soon.
I was training in the forest when a woman approached me.
Helena: Who are you?
Stranger: I need to talk to you. It's important.
Helena: Tell me.
Stranger: I would prefer a more private place.
She created a portal. I was surprised. I had never seen anything like it.
Stranger: Come on, let's go to my house.
Helena: Okay.
We entered the portal and in a second, we were already at her house.
Stranger: Please, sit down.
Helena: Thank you.
Stranger: My name is Rosa Perez. I'm Molly's mother. I had to talk to you because I need you to protect her, to take care of her.
I was surprised. I knew Molly had been left at the orphanage as a baby.
Helena: Why did you leave her at the orphanage?
Rosa: 😢 We left her there because they were attacking us, and we didn't have a safe place to leave her. We found that orphanage, and we left her there.
Helena: And why didn't you come back for her?
Rosa: 😭 We couldn't. If we left, they would kill us. That's why I looked for you. I need you to protect her. She's not human. We cast a spell on her to make her human so they wouldn't find her, but that spell will wear off very soon.
This is surprising.
Helena: What is she?
Rosa: She's half werewolf and half witch. Her father was a werewolf, and I'm a witch.
Helena: Wow, and why were they attacking you?
Rosa: Because they didn't agree with our relationship. So we ran away, but I got pregnant. I had Molly, and they found out. They wanted to come for her and for us and kill us. 😔 That's why I ask you to take good care of her and protect her. Her mate will arrive soon, and all her spell will disappear.
Helena: Okay, ma'am. I give you my word that I will.
Rosa: Good. I will take you back to the forest. And please pretend we never saw each other.
I nodded. She opened a portal again, and in seconds, I was back in the forest. I left the forest and headed towards the orphanage. Sometimes, I would sneak out to come train in the forest.
I arrived at the orphanage and hugged Molly. Just then, one of the sisters spoke to her and took her away. When she came out, she came out crying. I asked her what was wrong.
Molly: The eldest sister wants to talk to you.
I went with the eldest sister, and you already know what happened next.
IN THE PRESENT
When Ale came to pick up Molly, I noticed he was a werewolf. Then I remembered what Rosa told me and just sighed. I knew the time was coming to tell her what I was, but I was going to leave out what Rosa had told me.
I told Molly everything about what I was. She was surprised, but above all, she understood me. And now we're both leaving this apartment.
