The exquisite scent continued to grow stronger.
“Ale, she’s here!” “She’s here, our mate!”
I couldn’t believe it; what was she doing in places like this?
A waitress approached our table with our drinks.
“Ale, it’s her!” “It’s our mate!”
I looked up and saw a stunning girl with hazel eyes, skin fair and slightly sun-kissed, not too tall, with a gorgeous body. I snapped back to reality as I heard one of my friends starting to say ridiculous things.
X: “Tonight, you should sit next to me.”
Waitress: “I repeat, that’s not possible. If you don’t need anything else, I’ll be leaving.”
Ale: “Leave the waitress alone.”
I was about to speak when she walked away. I was left wondering why my mate was here and why she was just a simple human. I couldn’t understand; I thought, am I going crazy, or is the alcohol starting to affect me?
Jose: “Ale, we’re not crazy; it’s not the alcohol affecting us, but she is our mate. I don’t get why she’s a simple human either.”
Ale: “But that can’t be! Our mate should be some kind of supernatural being, not a human. We need to seek answers from the pack’s wizard.”
Jose: “Yes, we need to look.”

Ale: “Okay, guys, I have to go; it’s late. And please stop bothering the waitresses, especially the one who just came by.”
X: “Alright, I promise I won’t bother them anymore.”
I left the table and headed for the exit, but I caught her scent again. I moved closer to see her one last time, but to my surprise, a man had her cornered and wasn’t letting her go. As I got closer, I heard what that jerk was saying. I didn’t think twice and launched myself at him. Security arrived, and they separated us, taking the old man away. I watched as they escorted him out when she spoke to me.
Mol: “Thank you so much again; I have no way to repay you, sir.”
Ale: “It’s nothing, but are you alright?”
Mol: “Yes, sir, and thank you again.”
She turned and walked away.
I kept thinking, how beautiful she is; but I felt old when she called me “sir.”
Jose: “Well, if she knew our age, I guess we’d disgust her, and she’d have a reason to call us ‘sir.’”
Ale: “Better shut up, Jose.”

I left the place and ordered my car. As I waited, I caught her scent once more. I got into my car, and for some reason, I followed her to an old-looking building.
Ale: “So this is where our mate lives. How silly of us not to ask her name, but we’ll find out.”
I arrived home and headed to my room. I showered and got into bed, only thinking about her beautiful face.
Ale: “Jose, wake me up early tomorrow; we’re going to the pack. I want answers.”
Jose: “I’m not your alarm.”
Ale: “Well, to be honest, you’re a bit of one.”
Jose grunted at me, but I ignored him and fell asleep, thinking about that lovely face.
