CHAPTER 9

Question : what was your worst bad experience in past?

(Third person's pov)

"Ya Jeon! You got a lighter? I'm way too lazy to look for mine in my backpack." Chan asked as they walked down the busy school corridors.

"Do I look like I carry lighters around?"

To that, the elder chuckled.

"Honestly, yes. You look like the type to carry fire around."

"My bad! I don't!" Jungkook retorted as he rolled his eyes theatrically.

He wasn't in the mood for Chanmin's shits. He hadn't really been in the mood for anything since the past week. Ever since nerdy had tried kissing him; it all took a weird turn. He didn't know exactly why but ever since, he had been avoiding Taehyung as much as he could - going as far as bunking calculus a few times with the sole purpose of not making the faintest eye contact. It became hard to breathe the same air as the younger fellow.

He didn't know why Taehyung had initiated such an intimate contact when they weren't screwing. He tried not to think of it too hard but his mind almost always seemed to be drifting back to that afternoon. He had witnessed a side of the nerd which he had never seen before and his heart had shattered into pieces. Taehyung's crying face was a terrible heart breaking sight.

So much had happened. The cute little nerd messily crying. Their almost kiss. Things seemed messed up.

Jungkook had tried appeasing his sexual desires by smashing a few girls but there was always something missing. What? He couldn't exactly tell. It just felt different than with Taehyung.

The brunette wasn't blind at all though. Sneakily, he would watch the nerd intensely while the latter would be looking away or would be busy talking with his friends. His firm ***, moulded perfectly into his pants; the way his hair rose and fell each time he would burst into an uncontrollable laughter - Jungkook saw it all. It would be lying saying that the younger's body wasn't having an impact on his sanity. Taehyung was hot and he was incredible in bed. There was no way Jungkook could get rid of the physical attraction he had in regards of the other.

Still, Taehyung had tried to kiss him. His mind had manufactured a lot of logical explanations to excuse the younger's action but there was one recurrent thought. Jungkook deeply hoped it wasn't what he thought it was. He hoped nerdy hadn't fucked it up. He had no right to mess up what they shared; he wasn't entitled to **** them up.

Wasn't it enough what they shared? They had sex - a lot - and satisfied a fire withing them. Did Taehyung want more? Jungkook hoped not because he wasn't capable of providing anything further and he had made it clear since the first few times when they had slept together.

He brushed the tiring and complex thoughts aside; instead telling himself that the nerd was smart enough to not fall for someone as fucked up and broken as him. He wasn't capable of providing affection and he knew that as a matter of facts. He didn't want Taehyung to end up getting hurt; that was the least of his wishes. Bearing this in mind, he was purposely distancing himself in case his doubts came to be true - which he didn't hope.

He couldn't help but think maybe to some extent, it was his fault. He had acted all sweet with Taehyung and that may have been why the male wanted to kiss him. What else could he have done? Taehyung was basically crying in front of him.

Currently, the two friends were going out. School had just ended. It was soon going to be the weekend and next week was their last semester week before the grand summer holidays. Jungkook was excited. He was staying on the campus, alongside his other friends and their plans could be resumed in two words - unhealthy fun. They had planned a few trips, with regular parties and loads of entertainment waiting for them.

None of his friends were going back home for the same reason - parental issues. Namjoon didn't want to see his parents at each other's throats all day long while Hoseok, Chanmin and himself knew they would be going back to empty houses since their parents were always on important business trips. That was the sad reality of their small gang and one of the only rare things which they had in common.

The duo excited the premises while Chanmin alarmingly ruffled through his bag.

"****! I forgot my lighter in my dorm! And I think I ran out of cigarettes too!" He growled as he pulled his hair lightly; fingers entangling and creating more friction as realisation dawned upon him.

Jungkook stood and watched impassively. He wasn't understanding the indispensability of the lighter and of the need of smoking as soon as school had ended.

"Can't you survive without smoking for once Hyung?" He asked exasperatedly as he dug his hands into his side pockets.

"Well, no, I can't. Do you have a problem with that Jeon?"

The younger didn't judge it important to reply. There was no way a rational answer would weight against Chan's enumerable sarcastic replies which were waiting to be spoken. Instead, he reached out for one of the pockets of his bag and opened the zip slightly. He took out a red lollipop and handed it to his friend.

"Here. That should make up for your unhealthy tar addiction." The younger said with a tiny bit of sarcasm in his tone.

Chan willingly took the delicacy - he knew there was no way he would be able to cope without. They momentarily stopped outside the school to allow the elder to unwrap the sweet and shove it into his mouth before throwing away the small creased plastic wrap.

They resumed their nonchalant steps; strolling around until the redheads joined them. Namjoon looked like he was on the verge of crying while he carried a tiny brownish object securely between his fingers. His other hand held a blue file which Jungkook recognised as being the one storing all the notes and lists of materials required for the following week's weekend activities.

Namjoon was in the student council - vice president to be exact - and his team was currently organising their annual summer festival prior to the holidays. It was a weekend where the students' population was allowed to have some fun within the school premises before most of them would be leaving to go and spend the vacations with their loved ones. Usually, it was really fun, absolutely nice and for once, there was plenty of affordable food available. Most of the students attended - the quartet counted in.

Jungkook and Hoseok shared a side hug while Chan didn't bother greeting the two. He sucked on his candy, trying to ignore his bodily reactions to the cigarette deficiency.

"I broke my watch!" Namjoon exclaimed while he fidgeted with the brown strap in his hand.

"How even did you end up breaking a freaking watch?!" The youngest retorted as he rolled his eyes.

Namjoon was the most klutzy person they knew and he had the unique and incredible talent of breaking whatever he touched. Sometimes, it even seemed like he broke things purposefully when he absolutely did not.

"I don't know..." The redhead replied sadly. He stared one last time at the broken object - which probably had cost a fortune - before placing it into his uniform's pocket.

They stared at each other for a few seconds before Chan opened his mouth.

"Are we gonna act like freaking gays and stare in each other's eyes or actually head somewhere?"

Jungkook couldn't really comprehend it. He didn't know why the person he considered as his best friend always seemed to throw gay jokes on the table with the clear intention of being disrespectful. Somewhere, it almost appeared homophobic. Chan always made sexual or romantic gay jokes as if he wanted to portray the people from the lgbt community as being inferior and weaker.

"Wanna grab boba?" Hoseok questioned.

Jungkook and Namjoon nodded while the remaining individual only shrugged. He was way too preoccupied with tackling his nerves than deciding what to consume for their afternoon tea.

The youngest started walking ahead in direction of their usual boba place which wasn't quite far but was promptly stopped by a hand on his shoulder.

"Hold up Jeon! I'm like tired as ****... Can't we take Joon's or Chan's car?" The younger orange-haired male queried.

Nobody was quite opposed to the idea except the eldest who wanted to walk. He had to derive a way of forgetting the way he was slightly shivering due to the lack of nicotine in his bloodstream. Normally, walking helped.

"**** no. We're walking. You guys are lazy asses!" He exclaimed.

Jungkook had to roll his eyes. Chan had been the lazy one when he didn't want to go back to his dorm in order to get a lighter before he realised that he didn't have his unhealthy tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide supply anymore.

"Well, whatever, as long as we're getting boba!" Hoseok shrugged.

The eldest was quick to start moving in case his friends came to change their minds. Chan walked ahead of all of them, plugging his earphones in and sucking the candy until he was reduced to nervously munching on the white stick that remained. He didn't interact with the trio at all, stuck in his own depressive world.

"I loved this watch a lot!" The smartest ranted as they tried to keep up with Chan's heavy and rather elongated steps.

"It's just a watch Hyung, you can always buy a new one!"

Namjoon wasn't having it. He didn't understand why him; of all people; had to wreck everything he touched. It was unfair but he had to live with it. The other two tried deviating his attention to another more cheerful topic.

"How's the arrangements for next weekend going on?" The younger redhead asked.

"Slightly chaotic. We're still struggling to get consent from school to organise a few activities. Even Seokjin who usually is the rector's pet isn't managing to trade with them." The vice president stated.

There was always a sort of drama with their school. Despite the good educational reputation of the academy, students weren't valued as much as they should. Emotionally, they weren't enough accompanied; leading to many of them leading a shitty life. Some hid in the cocoon of their rooms - reading and studying in order to get a better life - while the rest partied and tried their level best not to fail exams when the time came. However, most if not all students excelled in at least one subject and it compensated for other less favourable grades.

Namjoon spoke about the plans and activities which the council were planning to organise this year. Each activity mentioned appeared completely thrilling to the pair who listened intensely and attentively. That weekend was a rare school activity which everyone looked forward to.

If the rector and teachers allowed the organisation of all the myriad of activities which Namjoon and his team were planning, this year's event was bound to be an utmost success.

"You guys are willing to help me? There's no point in asking Chan, the bitch is too self-centered. But you guys will help me right?" The male asked.

Hoseok and Jungkook exchanged a brief look but their decision was already taken. Despite their bad boys reputation - which was all a sham honestly - they had a heart and loved each other tremendously even if none of them said it out loud. Even Chan, who at first looks like an asshole to everyone; had his own place in their hearts. They just had issues. Big ones.

Sure, puberty had distanced them but when occasions presented themselves, they tried their level best to spend time together; which also meant that they ended up drunk most of the time.

"Yeah... Of course we'll lend a helping hand where we can." Jungkook said as he patted his best friend on the shoulder.

The sweet moment was interrupted by the cigarette deprived guy.

"****! I really can't! JK, do something!" He cried out.

He was basically begging at this instance and it broke the youngest's heart to some extent.

Jungkook turned to the remaining two and gave them a mellow look which they immediately understood the meaning behind. The duo nodded as the youngest sighed and turned back to face Chan.

"Fine, let's go find cigarettes."

Jungkook gave in to yet another one of his best friend's antics as the group split up. Jungkook and Chan were headed to the closest store while Hoseok and Namjoon made their way to the boba place. Eventually, they were to meet up there to have their supposed afternoon snack before each one of them would isolate themselves in their own world; pretending they had important things to do and pretty chicks to bang.
