Part-2

Jungkook’s vision blurred at the edges. Taehyung’s grip tightened just enough to make his body scream for air, but never quite cross the line. He knew exactly how far to go.
Like always.
JUNGKOOK JEON
JUNGKOOK JEON
You're hurting me
Jungkook rasped, fingers clawing weakly at Taehyung’s wrist.
Taehyung’s face softened in a way that twisted Jungkook’s stomach. He eased his grip, brushing a thumb over Jungkook’s cheek where the bruise from yesterday bloomed like a sick flower.

You always say that like it means I don’t love you

I don’t feel safe
Jungkook said, voice shaking.

Then let me keep you safe. From everyone else
He dragged Jungkook back through the woods, ignoring his struggles. The cabin’s warm yellow light flickered through the trees like a lighthouse—and a prison.
Inside, Taehyung sat him down gently. Cleaned the blood from his lip with a damp cloth. Kissed his forehead.

And now, he waited.
Taehyung cooked—steak, Jungkook’s favorite. Played soft music. Talked about their future. A house near the coast. No phones. No people. Just them.
Jungkook nodded when needed. Smiled once. Taehyung beamed at that.
Later, when Taehyung fell asleep with his arm across Jungkook’s waist like a shackle, Jungkook held his breath. Counted to 300. Carefully slipped out from under the weight.
Every creak in the floor was a gunshot.
In the bathroom, he pried the tile loose—slow, silent. Fingers trembling, he grabbed the key.
Then he ran.
Again.
This time with a direction, a purpose. He threw open the truck door, jammed the key in, praying it would turn—
The engine roared to life.
And behind him, the cabin door flew open.
TAEHYUNG KIM
TAEHYUNG KIM
JUNGKOOK!
Taehyung’s scream wasn’t angry. It was betrayed. Like a lover catching a cheating heart.
The truck tore down the dirt road as Taehyung ran barefoot, screaming his name.
Jungkook didn’t look back
