Kookie 🤗
Sorry for the late update
Kookie 🤗
Before I start I wanna discuss something..
some of you have questions about why Jungkook is behaving like kids ?.. He has his past memories then how can he be so calm and behave so freely ?... So I just want to say
Jungkook's age is just 10 , although he knows some danger which is gonna happen but he doesn't know who caused them.
So pls keep some patience I will reveal everything in upcoming chapters.
Jungkook was new at the Edelweiss Academy. He didn’t care much for the noisy, crowded corridors or the curious stares thrown his way. His focus was clear — study, survive, and stay invisible.
That was the plan.
Until he saw him for the first time.
Jungkook
" He is really here ?"
* confused *
It was during the inter-division basketball match — Class 5th Division A against 5th Division B. Jungkook, from Division B, laced up his sneakers, ready to prove his skills. But his attention slipped the moment Taehyung stepped onto the court.
He wasn't loud like the others, nor was he desperate to impress. His expression remained cold, detached — eyes like deep, endless voids that revealed nothing and demanded nothing. He didn’t bother with smiles or greetings. He simply existed, untouchable and alone.
No one dared to mock him. No one could touch him.
Taehyung wasn’t just respected — he was an enigma, a mystery too dangerous to solve.
And strangely, despite the distance between them, Jungkook’s heart twisted in a painful, almost nostalgic ache.
Because deep inside — in a place he had — he knew this boy.
Taehyung was his best friend... in a life before this one.
But now, they were strangers standing on opposite sides of a court, under the same sun, yet separated by fate once again.
The sharp whistle blew, slicing through the heavy summer air.
The basketball bounced hard against the polished court as players scrambled for possession. Jungkook wiped the sweat from his forehead, his body tensing with excitement.
Jungkook
"Focus, Jungkook," * muttered under his breath, bouncing on his toes as he eyed the ball being passed across the court.*
Taehyung — jersey loose, hair messy, eyes colder than winter rain.
He moved like smoke — graceful, unpredictable, impossible to grasp.
Taehyung didn't shout plays like the others. He barely even spoke. Yet somehow, his teammates adjusted around him, obeying silent commands no one else could hear.
Jungkook
"Man, he's good," * whispered to himself, almost in awe.*
One of Jungkook's teammates, a boy named Minho, nudged him roughly.
Min-ho
"Don't get distracted, Jungkook ! That Taehyung guy? He's outta our league."
Jungkook nodded quickly, shaking off the strange feeling.
Jungkook
"Stay sharp. Win the game. Don’t think about him." * whispered to himself *
Jungkook
But fate had other plans.
Just as Jungkook raced toward the basket, dribbling past two defenders, he crashed straight into someone — a solid wall of muscle and bone. He stumbled back, blinking up into Taehyung's deadpan face.
Taehyung
"...Tch," *clicked his tongue quietly, expression unreadable.*
For a long second, Jungkook just stared at him, wide-eyed.
Words tumbled out before he could stop them.
Jungkook
"Uh... Sorry! I didn’t mean to— I mean—" * stammered.*
Taehyung simply tilted his head slightly, studying him. His voice, when it finally came, was low and almost disinterested.
Taehyung
"Watch where you're going," * said, monotone.*
But there was something else in those cold eyes.... Something Jungkook couldn't explain.
Before he could say anything else, Taehyung turned away, slipping back into the flow of the game as if Jungkook had never existed.
Jungkook stood frozen for a moment, heart hammering.
Jungkook
"Why ?...... why so rude, humph 😤"
The ball slammed into the floor beside him, snapping him back to reality.
Taehyung made the first move — lunging forward, trying to knock the ball away.
But Jungkook was faster.
He twisted, ducked low, and sprinted past Taehyung, hearing the gasps from the audience as he cut through Division A's defense like a knife through butter.
"Don't let him through!" someone shouted.
Jungkook jumped — soared — and the ball slammed cleanly through the hoop.
Two points. Division B leading.
Taehyung's team quickly reset, passing the ball to him. Taehyung moved in that same graceful, deadly way, eyes locked on Jungkook now. For the first time, there was something sparking behind the coldness.
The next few minutes were brutal — a clash of wills.
Jungkook blocked Taehyung’s shots.
Taehyung stole the ball from Jungkook twice.
The crowd roared with every move, every stolen point, every near miss.
Sweat dripped down Jungkook’s face, but he grinned wildly, heart racing.
Jungkook
"You're strong, Taehyung. But today... I'll win."
Jungkook gripped the ball, facing Taehyung one-on-one.
Taehyung's gaze hardened.
No words. Only the electric tension between two forces destined to collide.
Jungkook feinted left — Taehyung followed — then at the last second, Jungkook spun right, breaking free.
He jumped, the crowd of students holding their breath—
The buzzer screamed across the court.
Division B: 62
Division A: 60
Sweat dripped into Jungkook’s eyes, but he didn’t blink.
He couldn’t — not when Taehyung was standing across from him, chest rising and falling, jaw clenched, frustration flashing briefly across his normally emotionless face.
Division B had won.
By two points.
For the first time, Taehyung had lost... and everyone knew it.
There was a stunned silence, then an explosion of cheers from Jungkook’s side.
But Jungkook didn’t celebrate. His teammates slapped his back, yelling, laughing — but his eyes stayed locked on Taehyung.
Taehyung didn’t shout.
Didn’t argue.
He simply tossed the ball to the referee and turned to walk away — as if none of this mattered to him at all.
Jungkook
"Wait..." * body moved before his mind could catch up.*
He jogged across the court, weaving through the crowd until he stood in front of Taehyung, blocking his path.
Taehyung stopped, lifting his head slowly. His eyes — dark and empty — met Jungkook’s.
Neither said anything for a heartbeat.
Jungkook
"I’m Jungkook," * voice rough from exhaustion but firm.* " You're... amazing. I mean — seriously. You’re incredible out there."
Taehyung stared at him like he was speaking another language.
Jungkook scratched the back of his neck, feeling awkward but refusing to back down.
Jungkook
"I know we just... kinda battled it out," * chuckling lightly * "But... I think we could be good friends. If you want."
Around them, the world buzzed — teammates celebrating, coaches yelling, students pouring out of the stands — but for Jungkook, it all faded into a heavy, breathless silence, waiting for Taehyung’s answer.
Taehyung’s eyes narrowed slightly. His lips parted — just a fraction.
And for a split second, Jungkook thought he saw it — a crack in the ice.
A glimpse of something old and broken and lonely.
But then Taehyung brushed past him without a word, leaving nothing behind but the soft thud of his footsteps.
Jungkook turned to watch him go, a small, stubborn smile pulling at his lips.
Jungkook
"It’s okay," * thought * "I'll wait. I know you, Taehyung... even if you don't remember me. "
He didn’t stop.
Not even for a second.
The moment that boy — Jungkook — smiled at him and held out his hand, something sharp twisted inside Taehyung’s chest.
And he hated it.
Without a word, he brushed past Jungkook, his steps calm, his face unreadable.
Like always.
Like he was expected to be.
The cheers and noise of the basketball court faded behind him as he exited into the empty hallway. His sneakers squeaked lightly against the polished floor. He kept walking. Straight. Unshaken. Unfeeling.
At least... that’s what it looked like on the outside.
Taehyung
"Why would he...?"
Taehyung
No one — no one — had ever tried to approach him like that.
To the other students, he was just a cold, arrogant heir.
A 'monster' with no heart.
An emotionless king seated too high to touch.
Taehyung
They whispered behind his back.
They hated him silently, and feared him openly.
They stayed away, and he preferred it that way. It was easier. Cleaner.
Taehyung
But that boy — Jungkook — had looked at him differently.
No fear. No disgust.
Just... honesty. And something frighteningly warm.
Taehyung
"Friends...?"
* scoffed under his breath, shoving his hands into his pockets as he walked faster.*
Taehyung
"Friends don't exist. Not for someone like me."
Taehyung
"Why... why can't I stop thinking about him?"
Taehyung tightened his fists inside his pockets, a strange, unfamiliar ache blooming in his chest.
For the first time in these years...
Someone had seen him.
And he didn’t know whether to hate Jungkook for it —
or to want to see him again.
