Taehyung gripped Jungkook’s hand tighter, his eyes locking with his friend’s.

Jungkook’s gaze softened even as his strength waned.

As Taehyung gently eased Jungkook onto a stretcher, he fought against the rising panic inside him.

Taehyung insisted, his tone both pleading and resolute.

But in that critical moment, Jungkook’s hand slipped from Taehyung’s grasp, the physical bond that had always been their silent pact. Taehyung watched in agonizing slow motion as Jungkook was wheeled away towards the operation theatre, the promise now echoing in the sterile corridor.

“Stay with me, Kook,” Taehyung whispered, his voice breaking.

As the doctor reached for the operation theatre door handle, Taehyung slammed his hand against the wall beside him, cutting him off. His dark eyes burned with a raw, dangerous rage.

"You listen to me," * growled, voice low and deadly, grabbing the doctor by the collar.* "If he dies..."* He leaned closer, his words a venomous whisper against the doctor’s ear, * "...there won’t be a corner of this world where you can hide from me."

The doctor, pale and shaking, nodded frantically.

Taehyung Released him with a shove, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. His breathing was ragged, his chest heaving as he watched them going through the operation theatre ( OT ) doors .

He stood frozen, bloodied hands trembling, the scent of iron and antiseptic thick in the air, the weight of a promise pressing against his soul.

2 hours later

The ticking of the old wall clock was the only sound in the cold waiting room.

Two hours had passed. Two brutal, endless hours.

Taehyung sat slumped on the edge of a metal bench, elbows on his knees, his bloodstained hands hanging between them, still trembling slightly. His coat, sticky with dried blood, lay forgotten on the floor beside him. His face was blank, but his dark eyes burned with a rage and fear that no words could touch.

Suga paced frantically across the small room. His fists were clenched so tight his nails dug into his palms. His face was stained with tears he refused to acknowledge. Every few steps, he’d stop, glance at the operation theatre doors, then resume pacing, unable to sit still...

Across the room sat jimin— the cause of the fight, the one they had all been ready to kill and die for. jimin was curled into himself, his face hidden behind shaking hands. Silent sobs wracked his body. he couldn’t even look at Suga or Taehyung without feeling the crushing weight of guilt. In jimin point of view this all happened because of him, he was the reason why his would-be brother-in-law was in this state.

Kim Jisoo, Taehyung’s sister, leaned against the wall, her arms crossed tightly. She stared hard at the floor, her jaw locked, anger and grief warring inside her. She had seen Taehyung threaten the doctor — had seen the wild, desperate look in her brother’s eyes — and she understood: if Jungkook didn’t make it, nothing and no one would be safe from what would follow.

The fluorescent lights flickered overhead, casting long, sterile shadows over the group — a collection of broken hearts and heavy regrets.

No one spoke.

No one dared to fill the silence

Every breath felt like it might shatter the fragile silence.

After 5 min

The doors to the operation theatre creaked open.

The doctor stepped out, his mask pulled down, his face pale, his eyes heavy with the weight of what he was about to say.

Everyone stood up instantly — hope and fear clashing inside them.

The doctor took a breath... then shook his head slowly.
