Chapter 14: The Safe House

As they arrived at the safe house, Maya felt a sense of relief wash over her. The events of the day had left her shaken, but being surrounded by her friends made her feel safer.

The safe house was a modest, two-story building in a quiet neighborhood. The exterior was unassuming, but Maya knew that the interior was equipped with state-of-the-art security systems and surveillance cameras.

Julian led them inside, locking the door behind them. The interior of the house was sleek and modern, with a large living room and a kitchen that was stocked with food and supplies.

Sarah headed straight for the kitchen, starting to prepare a meal. Jake collapsed onto the couch, looking exhausted. Maya followed Julian into the living room, her eyes scanning the space.

"What's the plan?" Maya asked, her voice firm.
