The sun rose over the kingdom like golden silk unraveling across the sky.

It was the day of the royal mating ceremony.

The wedding robe he wore shimmered like starlight.. silver threads sewn into pale blue silk, with symbols of union and eternity stitched by hand across the sleeves.

Taehyung stood in front of a tall mirror in his chamber, heart pounding in his chest.

A delicate crown of white moonflowers rested in his curled hair, and a soft scent of lavender clung to his skin.

(He touched his cheek with trembling fingers) Is this real?

The royal garden was transformed into an ethereal wonder. White cherry blossoms rained gently from the enchanted trees, while soft music from harps filled the air. Nobles, alphas, omegas, betas.. all gathered to witness history.

And at the end of the marble aisle stood Prince Jeon Jungkook, dressed in midnight black and gold, his raven hair brushed back, a thin silver crown atop his head. His eyes searched the crowd.. impatient, anxious.

And then he saw him.

Taehyung stepped into view. Every breath in Jungkook’s lungs fled at once.

The world faded around him. Only Taehyung existed.

The prince barely noticed he had moved.. only that one moment he was watching him from afar, and the next, he was reaching out and taking Taehyung’s hand.

The ceremony began, ancient words spoken by the royal priest, blessings of unity and protection flowing into the circle around them.

Warmth flooded Taehyung’s body.

A spark ignited between their souls.

The crowd erupted in cheers. But Taehyung only looked at Jungkook with tears in his eyes.
