The palace was alive with music, laughter, and the shimmering elegance of nobility. Golden chandeliers hung like stars above a sea of omegas dressed in silks, all hoping to catch the eye of the crown prince.

But Prince Jungkook… he stood near the top of the grand staircase, his black military suit hugging his tall, broad frame, his eyes distant as yet another omega tried to flirt by his side.

(He sighed)

Park Jimin

(Jimin leaned over) You look like you’re trapped in a cage of roses.

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

(Jungkook shot him a glare) Because I am.

Park Jimin

(Jimin laughed) You haven’t even looked around yet. Who knows, maybe someone will surprise you.

Jungkook scanned the ballroom below, uninterested.. until the massive doors opened.

The air shifted.

Silence seemed to fall over the room, or maybe it just did for Jungkook.

There, standing hesitantly in the doorway, was a vision dressed in deep, starlit blue.

A delicate silver chain around his neck caught the light, and soft brown hair framed the most breathtaking face Jungkook had ever seen. Wide, doe eyes scanned the ballroom with nervous curiosity.

The alpha prince didn’t realize he was walking until he was halfway down the stairs.

Who was he?

Why did he feel… drawn?

Jungkook reached the foot of the staircase just as the omega stepped forward, and their eyes met.

And just like that.. everything else blurred into nothing.

Hi… (Jungkook said softly, his voice deeper than usual)

Kim Taehyung

H-Hi… (The omega blinked, startled by the attention)

*Ah~ His voice.. Just like an angle.. Melting in my ears.* (//∇//)

(Jungkook tilted his head, lips tugging into a curious smile)

I know~ (the omega said breathlessly)

(Jungkook chuckled) And you are…?

(The omega hesitated)

…Just someone who wanted to dance.

(The prince’s smile widened bunny-like)

Then let’s dance. 💓

Taehyung wasn’t sure if this was a dream. The moment Jungkook took his hand, the entire room vanished around them. The alpha’s large, warm palm closed gently around his, and the contact sent a shiver through Taehyung’s entire body.

The music slowed. The waltz began.

And Jungkook led him in the most gentle, graceful steps he had ever known.

You’re different from the others. (Jungkook murmured as they swayed across the floor)

Kim Taehyung

Because I haven’t asked about your palace yet? (Taehyung teased softly, eyes twinkling)

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

(Jungkook laughed, the sound low and rich) Exactly.

Kim Taehyung

(Taehyung smiled, his cheeks pink)

Kim Taehyung

You’re different, too. I thought you’d be… colder.

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

(Jungkook raised a brow) Cold?

Kim Taehyung

You know! (Taehyung shrugged) alpha prince, all power and no warmth.

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

(Jungkook leaned in a little, voice lowering) What do I feel like now?

Kim Taehyung

(Taehyung’s breath hitched) Like fire. 😳

They stared at each other, and for the briefest moment, the world truly disappeared. All Taehyung could feel was Jungkook’s scent.. earthy, warm, intoxicating. His alpha aura wasn’t overbearing; it wrapped around him like protection.

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

You’re really something else. (Jungkook whispered)

Kim Taehyung

I shouldn’t be here. (Taehyung whispered back)

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

Why not?

Kim Taehyung

Because… (Taehyung pulled his gaze away, looking down at their hands) This… this can’t be real. We just met. 🥺

(Jungkook’s hand lifted to his cheek, brushing a stray lock of hair)

But it feels like I’ve known you for years.

Kim Taehyung

(Taehyung’s heart thudded hard against his chest)

It was too much. Too fast. Too perfect.

Then..

DONG!!

The clock began to chime.

Taehyung’s eyes widened. Midnight.

No.

No no no.

Kim Taehyung

I have to go. 🥺 (he whispered, stepping back)

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

What? Wait… what’s wrong? (Jungkook grabbed his hand)

Kim Taehyung

I’m sorry~ 🥺 (Taehyung panicked, backing away) I really have to…

Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook

Wait! At least tell me your name! (Jungkook’s voice cracked slightly)

Taehyung turned toward the staircase, running, heart in his throat. Behind him, Jungkook called again, but Taehyung didn’t stop. He couldn’t.

The magic.. it was already fading. He could feel the shimmer in his clothes losing their glow, his hair no longer falling as perfectly.

He didn’t notice until he reached the steps that his silver bracelet.. delicate and engraved with small stars.. had fallen from his wrist, landing gently on the marble.

And then he was gone.

Jungkook reached the bottom of the stairs seconds too late. The doors swung closed behind the mysterious omega, and the guards looked just as stunned.

He stared at the floor.

His fingers picked up the silver bracelet, still warm from where it had clung to the other’s wrist.

Jungkook pressed it to his chest.

I will find you. (he whispered to the empty hall)

No matter how long it takes.

No matter who tries to stop me.
