She turned away before Amyra could say anything else, slipping out of the crowd and into the cool night air. The sounds of the party faded behind her, and she found a quiet spot on the steps outside the venue, where she could breathe and think. Her mind was a storm of emotions—regret, fear, sadness. She pulled her jacket tighter around her, staring out into the distance, trying to ignore the ache in her chest. Tonight, the celebration was for Amyra, not her. And maybe that was how it should be

Party was going on ,and I was searching for a person. I finally found her, tucked away in the corner with a drink in hand, Amyra felt a pang of concern. Ashi had always been reserved, but tonight, something felt different. Her usual cool demeanor seemed heavier, as if there was a weight she wasn’t sharing.
Ashi smiled back, when Amyra said that she won't leave her alone tonight, but it didn’t reach her eyes. Amyra's heart tightened a little. She’d seen that look before—like Ashi was already somewhere else, far away in her thoughts.

She took Ashi’s hand and pulled her toward the center of the room, determined to draw her out of whatever shell she’d retreated into. As they danced, Amyra couldn’t help but notice how distant Ashi felt, even though she was right there beside her
