Taehyung opened the front door of his house, and the moment his eyes landed on his older sister Taeyeon, his tired expression immediately brightened.

His sister always had a calming presence in his life, and seeing her, along with her two adorable daughters, filled him with warmth.

Noona!

He greeted her with a wide smile, walking up to her and embracing her tightly. Taeyeon returned the hug, chuckling at her brother’s sudden burst of energy.

Taeyeon

Tae, it’s good to see you too.

Before Taehyung could respond, a small figure came running toward him at full speed.

Mina

(excited)Uncle Tae!

Mina, his five-year-old niece, flung herself into his arms, giggling as Taehyung lifted her up effortlessly. He peppered her face with playful kisses, making her burst into fits of laughter.

There’s my little princess! How’s my Mina doing , huh?

Mina

I’m good! Mommy says we came to see you!

Just then, Taehyung noticed his three-month-old niece, Minseo, in Taeyeon’s arms. The baby cooed, giving him a wide, toothless grin as if recognizing her uncle’s voice.

His heart melted at the sight of her chubby cheeks and innocent smile.

And there’s my other little princess. Look at her—so cute!

He gently stroked Minseo’s tiny hand, and she grasped his finger with surprising strength for a baby. Taehyung smiled down at her, utterly enchanted by his nieces.

Taeyeon

She’s growing fast, isn’t she? Every time I look at her, she seems bigger.

Kim Taehyung

You’ve got two beautiful girls, noona. They take after you.

Taeyeon

Flattery will get you nowhere, Tae.

The siblings laughed together, their playful banter flowing easily. The atmosphere in the house was peaceful, filled with the sounds of Mina’s giggles and Minseo’s coos.

As they moved to the living room, the family gathered for dinner. Mrs. Kim and Seokjin had prepared a simple yet delicious meal, and everyone sat around the dining table, enjoying the peaceful evening together.

Taehyung ruffled Mina’s hair, making her giggle once more. The family chatted lightly as they ate, talking about everyday things—work, the girls, and neighborhood gossip.

After dinner, while the children played in the living room, the doorbell rang. Taeyeon’s husband, Jeon Mingyu, had arrived to pick them up.

He greeted his in-laws warmly, his usual polite and composed demeanor putting everyone at ease.

Good evening, mother, father.

Jeon Mingyu

I hope everything went well today?

Mrs Kim

Oh, everything was perfect, dear. We had a lovely dinner with Taeyeon and the girls.

Jeon Mingyu

I’m glad to hear that. Thank you for taking care of them.

He smiled at Taehyung, giving him a small nod of acknowledgment. Although they weren’t the closest, Mingyu respected his brother-in-law and had always been kind and considerate toward him.

Taehyung, I hope you’re doing well?

Kim Taehyung

I am, hyung. Just busy with work, but I’m managing.

Mingyu smiled in response before turning to his wife.

Jeon Mingyu

Shall we head home, love? The girls must be tired.

Taeyeon

Yes, it’s getting late. Thank you again, eomma for dinner. We’ll visit again soon.

Mrs Kim

Of course, dear. Take care of yourselves.

With that, Mingyu picked up a sleepy Minseo, while Taeyeon gathered Mina, who was still clinging to Taehyung.
