What took Evangeline into depression was not actually depression. That 11-year-old girl was experiencing justice trauma, which was trying to suppress her emotions towards the criminals who spoiled her happiness. But it gave birth to something darker, which is known as the mastermind.

After the interruption Mr. Albino ,Odin continued.

"My client was innocent because she is unstable. she wasn't aware of herself as a mastermind. These circumstances led my client to commit murder. Your Honor, I want to share that my client is mentally unstable. She has been suffering from a serious mental disorder for years known as Borderline Personality Disorder or Multiple Personality Disorder."

Borderline Personality Disorder is a mental illness that severely impacts a person's ability to regulate their emotions. This loss of emotional control can increase impulsivity, affect how a person feels about themselves, and negatively impact their relationships with others.

Symptoms of BPD include:

- Fear of abandonment

- Unclear or shifting self-image

- Impulsive, self-destructive behaviors

- Self-harm

- Extreme emotional swings

- Chronic feelings of emptiness

- Explosive anger, etc.

These are all part of it.

"Objection, Your Honor. Without medical evidence, you can't state that she is mentally ill. You only get one day for today's trial. So basically, you are lying to save your client," Mr. Albino stated teasingly.

"Too bad for you, Mr. Albino. I am here with perfect evidence because I am not lying, and of course, I will free my client from this. Your Honor, I am submitting the medical records of my client's illness and video footage about her other personality, the mastermind."

"Yes, I am Evangeline's family doctor. Evangeline showed her first symptoms at the age of 11 after her mother's death. She became very violent, had mood swings, and even tried to kill her father at the age of 18. She has a habit of self-harming, which has left some scars on her hands, chest, and neck. I used other treatment methods to cure her disease, and that's when her second personality, the mastermind, came out. It shows the justice trauma that Evangeline suppressed for years. I tried to communicate with her second personality and used my hypnotic skills to make the mastermind sleep inside her, unfortunately, it could only hold for 10 years," he told the court.

"My lord, here I present the mastermind's medical journals to you." Odin submitted the documents which I found in Zeraf's home. I felt no strength left in me.

"Your Honor, this is the exact truth behind the mastermind. It's true that the mastermind committed the crime, but Evangeline did not. Evangeline is innocent, and the bitter truth is that the mastermind is another personality of my client who has been suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder for years. Even if you prove this crime physically, mentally it wasn't done by my client. She wasn't aware of her disorder either. Due to these circumstances, I request the court to give her suitable justice for her crimes and punishments," Odin finished.

Everyone in the court stared at me blankly. I became emotionless. I looked at Zeraf, but he didn't look at me. He avoided my gaze and stared down. I looked at my colleagues, and everyone was nervous. My uncle smiled at me, as if to say, 'Don't worry, everything will be fine.'

"Miss Evangeline Hopes, what do you want to say?" the judge asked.

I took a deep breath and said, "My lord, as a lawyer, I realize that I deserve a death warrant. But the crimes I have done, I wasn't aware of. I even suspected I tried to kill my father, who passed away a few months ago. I understand how dangerous my other personality, the mastermind, is. I don't want to hurt anyone I love. Still, I will say that I am innocent because I am not aware of my crimes. But it doesn't justify that I have the right to take others' lives. I do deserve punishment." I smiled at the judge.

The people gave me surprised looks. They began gossiping. Mr. Albino and the officer gave me a surprised look. Bill, Tiara, and Odin looked at me with sorrowful eyes. I didn't gaze in Zeraf's direction. I knew what he was thinking of me now.

As per the rules, the court identified Evangeline as the mastermind and the killer. But due to her unstable mental condition, the court knew the truth that she was innocent and that these crimes were not done purposefully. However, this does not justify her actions. Due to her unstable mental condition, the court ordered her to be put in a state mental health center for 5 years of observation until her doctor certified that she was cured. If not, she would have to spend the rest of her life there. That was the judgment. Court dismissed.

Everyone I love looked at me with teary eyes. I gave them a heartfelt smile.
