The following days, I was busy with my work. It had been one month after that incident, and the news remained relevant. No one was able to find the mastermind, as I read through the news updates and found nothing.

My headache was not good, so today I decided to meet my family doctor, Dr. Cooper Colin. He is my uncle and the father of Zeraf. He has been busy with traveling abroad. Uncle was a famous psychologist, and he was the one who treated my depression. Today, I am planning to meet him.

Finally, I reached Zeraf's house. He wasn't here because he was busy with work. As I tried to touch the doorbell, I realized the door was already open. With panic, I entered the house and saw my uncle in a serious discussion with someone. It was none other than Police Officer Harry Milton, who was currently investigating the six murders.

"Oh my, Eva, when did you come?" my uncle asked.

"Just right now, uncle," I replied.

"Okay, Mr. Milton, we can discuss this matter later," my uncle said to the officer.

"Yes, Doctor," Officer Milton smiled at him and walked away.

I went near my uncle and sat beside him. He patted my head and said, "I have to marry you off to my Zeraf soon."

"Huh? Why?" I asked.

"I heard you were disturbed after hearing the news of the murders," he replied. "Well, I am not worried about them. I am just worried about my dad, that's all."

"Eva, you know one thing? You can't lie in front of me," he said with a giggle.

I felt nervous hearing that from him. "Okay, let's get into my clinic and discuss your headache," he said, smiling and walking away. I silently followed him. My uncle was a colleague of my mom, and they were very close. After her death, he took care of me very well.

I entered the clinic and sat down on the adjustable structure used for hypnosis. He asked me several questions, and I replied calmly. I don't know why, but for some reason, I fell into a deep sleep.

"Eva... Baby, listen to me... Let's play hide and seek with monsters," a voice spoke to me.

"Monsters? Are they playing with us too?" I asked.

"Yes, but there is one rule: the monster will try to lure you by using mom's voice. It's a trap. Never come out or shout. What if I do?" I asked.

"They will devour you fully," the voice replied.

"Mom... I am scared..." I said.

"Silly girl, I know Mom's Eva was a strong girl," the voice said, kissing me. I was trembling with fear. Why did it feel like a farewell kiss?

"Promise me, Eva. You won't come out or scream, no matter what," the voice said.

"Yes, Mom, I promise," I replied.

"You know what happens when you break a promise? God will curse you," the voice warned.

"Mom, I won't break it," I assured her.

"That's my girl," the voice said.

Suddenly, I heard someone break into our house. My mom turned off the main switch, and our house was plunged into darkness.

"Eva... Stay there, don't go anywhere, don't make a noise. They will see you," she whispered.

"Mom... I am scared... Please don't leave me," I pleaded.

She stuffed me into a shelf in the hall. I couldn't see anything outside, but I went unnoticed. Suddenly, I saw a shadow... The shadow of the monster.

"Please don't do this... No..." I begged.

"Quiet, Eva," she scolded me.

In that darkness, my mom left me alone. I could still see things in the dark. Someone turned on the lights, and now I could see all of them. My mom argued with the two men. They shouted at her, and suddenly, one of them pulled out a gun. However, the other one stopped him, and he approached her with a weird smile. I could see the terror on my mom's face. That night, they both raped her and then forced her to kill herself. I saw my mom's naked, lifeless body as she pulled the trigger, looking at the place where I was hidden. She said something before she died: "I love you."

In that moment, I couldn't speak. I was shocked to see those monsters. I saw their ugly faces and tattoos. That day was the last day of Mom's little girl. After that moment, something triggered me, because I saw those monsters' faces in the bloody bathtub too. And, again, I found myself smiling for no reason.
