ep 11 arrival of grandma
Charlotte Carmine
(hugging her) “Grandma! I didn’t expect you. It’s great to see you too.”
grandmother
“I thought I’d surprise you. Clara told me about your recent activities. How’s everything going?”
Charlotte Carmine
“It’s been busy but good. I was just out helping a friend with wedding plans.”
grandmother
“That sounds lovely. I’m glad you’re keeping busy and helping others.”

They move to the kitchen, where her grandmother has prepared some of Charlotte’s favorite comfort food.
grandmother
(smiling warmly) “You must be hungry after all that talking. Sit down, dear. I’ve made something special for you.”
Charlotte Carmine
(sitting down, a bit amused) “Grandma, you didn’t have to go through all this trouble.”
grandmother
“Nonsense! It’s my right to spoil you. Besides, it’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to spoil you.”

Charlotte watches as her grandmother brings over a bowl of soup and a plate of freshly baked bread. Her grandmother sits next to her, taking a spoonful of the soup and blowing on it to cool it down.
grandmother
(teasingly) “Open wide, just like when you were little.”
Charlotte Carmine
(laughing) “Grandma, I’m not a kid anymore!”
grandmother
“You’ll always be my little girl. Now, come on, humor your old grandma.”

Charlotte obliges, opening her mouth as her grandmother feeds her the soup. The warmth and love in the gesture make her feel cherished and cared for.
Charlotte Carmine
(smiling) “This is really good. You always know how to make the best comfort food.”
grandmother
“I’m glad you like it. Food always tastes better when it’s made with love.”

They continue like this, with her grandmother feeding her and occasionally making playful comments. The light-hearted interaction brings a sense of nostalgia and joy, making Charlotte feel like a child again, if only for a little while.
grandmother
(softly) “I remember when you were a little girl, you used to love it when I fed you. You’d always giggle and ask for more.”
(gets little emotional)
Charlotte Carmine
“I guess some things never change. It’s nice to be taken care of like this.” (smiles)
grandmother
“And I’ll always be here to take care of you, no matter how old you get.”

Charlotte stirs from her sleep, sensing that her grandmother is no longer beside her. She opens her eyes and glances around the dimly lit room, noticing a soft glow coming from the living room. Quietly, she gets up and follows the light.
