Ep 1

Currently, Yura is a third year high school student, who wants to study abroad in Korea. She attends school daily on weekdays and attend a half day course of Korean class on the weekends in a university. There was still five more months until Yura graduates.

Today, which is Saturday, Yura has attended her Korean class as usual. However, on her way back home as rays of evening sunbeam shown on the blooming summer flowers, she met a teacher from school at the university campus. He was no other than Mr. Jaemun, a Korean who have came to teach in her country due to cultural interest. He was the art teacher who had received a fine art degree and decided to explore the life of having a job. He was known for his refined personality, he have a perfect balance between seriously mysterious and quirky. Everyone likes him as he is not only good with his job but also have a pure heart.

" OH Yura?!"

" Woah ... Hello Mr. Jaemun."

" I heard that you take Korean class, was it here?"

" Yes! Oh right... it's so unexpected to see you here"

" Well, my cousin happens to work in Korean language department building, and I am meeting him. Wait it's already getting late, will your parents pick you up?"

Jaemun explained as he was amused by Yura's interest and determination to study. He was astonished by how Yura spends her weekends on Korean class to torture her brain.

" I am riding a tuk-tuk(a mean of transportation), it's not that late though, it's just 4:30 pm"

" Well, it is for me! Anyways get home safe! I'll get going now bye"

Yura greeted goodbye and went on her way to the booked tuk tuk to ride back home.

Actually, Yura had had a crush on her art teacher since his arrival a year ago. Not just her. A few other girls are also attracted to him, not seriously, though. Unfortunately, she had given up her day dreaming since a few months back. Seeing Mr Jaemun as a partner was not suitable. How can a 16 years old student be attracted to her 24 years old teacher?

While Yura went home, Jaemun met his cousin and was asked to attend a sevice activity in another province every weekend for 1 month in his cousin's stead. He didn't like the idea because he was told that he has to work without getting compensation, but also live with strangers. This means that he will have to take his whole free time on the weekends to attend the activity. How ridiculous was that?

The next day, Yura was told that her Korean classes are reaching an end in two weeks' time. The exam will be then, since Yura is currently studying at the highest level. Once she finishes, there won't be more classes for her. However, the problem is that she can not pause Korean for the next five months' time because she might forget her Koreans. She was required to know Korean in order to study abroad, but having a long pause for 5 months or even longer might lessen her Korean speaking abilities.

Like god had showed his mercy, Yura met Mr. Jaemun on her way home agian. This time, due to desperation and frustration, Yura directly asked Mr.Jaemun to be her practicing partner for the time being.

"Teacher! Can you be my Korean practicing partner for the time being?"

"Ehh? is the class not available?"

" No, they won't open a higher level after 2 weeks! But I need to continuously practice in order to be fluent. If there is a long pause, it might negatively affect my koreans"

" I see. Hmm...," Mr.Jaemun paused, " studying online would be quite hard compared to an on-site practice. Moreover, having a real life conversation would make higher improvements. Okkk sure!"

Jaemun exclaimed as he felt like teaching would be better than spending boring time at home. Moreover, he could also use this as an excuse to refuse his cousin's request.

" Is there any amount of payment you would like to request?" Yura asked nervously.

" Well, since you are giving me extra work, why don't you pay for my dinner everyday?" Mr.Jaemun suggested jokingly.

" Ook! I can do that " Yura exclaimed.

"Ehh? Really ?! I was joking. "

" No it is fine! I insist!"

After that, the two always got together every evening to practice conversations. Jaemun would provide Yura with questions, lesson notes, phrases and listening activities. After the exam that was held two weeks after was completed, Yura received her korean certificate. Now, she had planned to prepare to take the TOPIK exam.
